As an Islander going with someone from away, this was enjoyable for all. I enjoyed the Island history so much, and my companion had a wonderful time seeing and hearing all about PEI’s ties to England, as well as the early history of the Island. Probably not something for younger kids, but I think most adults will enjoy it very much. Between the 30 minute free tour of the house, and the option to wander the gardens, this place is like something out of a storybook, nestled right in the city. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed visiting this property. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us such wonderful facts and lots of information in a interesting manner. My 14 yr old really enjoyed it. Well done! Unfortunately we couldn't tour the gardens but we absolutely will be back.

Lovely grounds and staff. We were there to welcome the right honorable Julie Payette during her first official visit to PEI ("but I've been here many times in a previous life", she said. There is a leaky gutter on the north-eastern side so one star off.

Google has mis-identified this site, the photo shows a white mansion which is known as Fanningbank or Government House NOT Province House. The hours opened for visits are also limited to July and August and you should consult tourist info on when it is open for guide tours only. The rest of the year Government House is NOT open to the public. It is an Official residence and Office of the Lieutenant...
