I was harassed by the male security guard about 5'5 with glasses and wearing dark colored mask and suit. I don't understand why he bothered to leave his office to surveil and always follow us when I was about to leave the place. An hour ago, I shopped at the camera store, purchased coffee, and purchased items in Olly. At La Cordee, there was a robbery and we all witnessed a tall lanky man run away with goods when another different security guard chased him--this is not the same guy following me an hour later. But, the security guards (or the security company) did not do anything to capture him, or reported the ongoing theft by the group of thieves. They just let him run through the security administration office, as the suspect fled to the Metro subway station. Next, I did more shopping, and later sat in the food court area. I noticed the same harassing security guard in question circle around me a few times. Later, when I put on my outerwear and ready to leave, I was drinking water from the water bottle when he decided to get out of the office and further surveil and harrass me for no apparent reason. He just showed up like a ghost out of nowhere. He stopped on his tracks and watched me leave. Also, there are many other people sitting in different spots, but today, he chose the wrong person with the courage to post the abuse of authority for others and the administrators to see my special complaint. I want to mention that this particular security guard did absolutely nothing when other people pickup trash from the garbage for 5 minutes or more. For example, during the same time I was there sitting, I witnessed a few backpacking men and women who were grabbing thrown out food to eat from the garbage bin that is near the subway entrance, but the same security guard did not say anything to them, and did not even show up to stop them from what they were doing between 3 to 5 pm. The people Instead, this guy just follows me around and I did absolutely nothing wrong. This man needs his work credentials verified, and psych evaluation because he clearly is not doing his job propersly, and letting the real criminals get away from their crimes. There is a word for this: either looking the other way, or supporting crime happen by being an accessory to crime. I live in a country now where there are lots of foreigners with a personal agenda-- or foreign workers (such as security guards) who intentionally cause malice to society by being disrespectful to customers--or other Canadians, who truly benefitted and built this nation. I feel so offended by the security guard's actions that although it was my first time visiting the Promenade, I regret coming here.
