Went to a concert here. Terrible layout and sound quality. This place is built for conventions and conferences, NOT concerts. Impossible for most people under 6 feet tall to see the performers due to how low the stage is. Tons of people standing on the stairs, leather sofas or cellphones in the air trying to see. The upper level is just flat and not sloped toward the stage so only the people at the front can look down at the stage. Small, overdriven speakers that are extremely distorted - you’ll hear the bass but not much else. Lineups before the event are poorly managed. Walked about 10-15 min from the door to the end of the line which was all outside in the cold. No switchbacks to manage space. Not enough staff to admit everyone before the show actually starts.

Main artist wasn't on till waaaay after midnight for New Years. Waste of money. Waste of a venue. The artist playing at 12am was some Zzz generic boring dj. Lots of people sitting on floor bored xD. Come-on. Do better.

The place is fine but the office/ management is bad. No response is received when you send enquiry to official email. (No response for more than one month!!!)

Harbour Event & Convention Centre is a complete disaster from start to finish, and let me tell you, that bald security guard at the entrance is a special breed of awfulness. His demeanor is not just rude—it's positively repugnant. It's as if he's been specially trained to suck every ounce of joy out of guests' lives with his sour attitude and perpetual scowl. But it's not just his lack of courtesy that grates on the nerves—it's his sheer incompetence. His idea of security seems to consist of little more than barking orders and intimidating guests with his menacing presence. It's as if he mistakes himself for some sort of dictator, ruling over his tiny domain with an iron fist. And let's not even get started on his complete disregard for basic human decency. His interactions with guests are less like a professional exchange and more like a hostile interrogation. It's as if he views every guest as a potential threat, treating them with suspicion and disdain from the moment they set foot on the premises. But the nightmare doesn't end there. The lack of clear information about entrance requirements is mind-boggling. It's as if they expect guests to possess psychic abilities to decipher their cryptic instructions. The result? Utter chaos, with guests left floundering in a sea of confusion and frustration. It's a testament to their sheer incompetence and disregard for guest experience. And let's not even get started on the parking situation. The fees they charge would make a highway robber blush. It's daylight robbery disguised as parking fees. They have the audacity to bleed guests dry while offering no semblance of value in return. It's a blatant cash grab, plain and simple.Once inside, you're subjected to a draconian no in-and-out policy that would make Alcatraz look like a five-star resort. It's as if they take pleasure in imprisoning guests within their dismal confines, denying them even a fleeting moment of respite from the horrors within. In summary, Harbour Event & Convention Centre is a cesspool of incompetence, hostility, and greed. From the abhorrent behavior of their security staff to the baffling lack of information provided to guests and the extortionate parking fees, this place is a blight on the hospitality industry. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this den of despair. Your sanity and wallet...

I am extremely disappointed in the bouncers of Harbour Convention Centre. I was trying to respectfully speak to Louis (skinny, bald, white male) to ask him why our friend got jumped and bombarded by ALL the bouncers and kicked out, when there were THREE other males fighting our friend. Should they not have taken the other males that were punching our friend, who was on the ground?

When I asked Louis RESPECTFULLY what happened, because we wanted to know if our friend was the problem, which we would have reprimanded him for it, Louis SPAT in my face to GET OUT. We were already outside. I am DISAPPOINTED at the POWER trip Louis has. When someone is trying to speak to you respectfully, should you not respond in kind? Instead he screamed he "didn't need to explain" which baffles us.

I understand bouncers have a difficult time. But Louis, it was not okay to angrily scream at ANYONE'S face, much less mine. I was simply trying to determine what happened.

So Louis, this is the girl you screamed at tonight. I hope you can learn to be a decent human being and to stop thinking you're the authoritative figure when our friend was ON THE GROUND. This whole situation was not okay. I personally and in my own opinion think you need to look back on the type of person you are and really think to yourself. Was it really okay to scream at a SOBER girl's face tonight, who was concerned for her friend?

To everyone else, beware, the bouncers might jump you and kick you out when you are the one being punched.

And we found out that our friend was having a fantastic time until he got rushed my three other males. As people have witnessed, our friend did NOT...

My boyfriend and I’s experience at the Gimme Gimme Disco event there: My girlfriend and I attended your event tonight and had a very awful and harrowing experience. We were not given a ticket for our coat check but the staff took our clothes anyway. What then happened is when I tried to bring this to their attention they refused to do anything. I was told to wait until 3am when the event was over before I had a chance to take our things back. Unfortunately the event's security didn't tolerate me slouched in the booth and manhandled me and threw me out into the cold. Since I was not able to negotiate and grab my coat I was left in -3 degree weather with no jacket.

We had to wait until the event was over to grab our coats and so we waited. We were told to go to a casino for warmth but we didn't have our IDs since they were with our coats. The bouncer even pointed out that his advice was pointless. At 3am we came back freezing but it turns out our coats were given away. We asked why this happened but we're ushered out. Why does your company allow this to happen? We lost several hundred dollars worth of clothing alongside what was in my partner's wallet. We don’t know how our coats got lost if we were reassured they’d be kept safe at the coat check for us to pick up at the end of the night. It’s possible they just gave away the jackets carelessly. Either way we did not receive a coat check ticket so it couldn’t have gotten claimed and used by a stranger.

I hope we can resolve this amicably.

This is such an...
