St. Margaretโs Church (่็ชๅ ๏งๅคงๅ ) was built in 1923. It was associated with the First World War which attracted a massive influx of immigrants to Hong Kong. This prompted Bishop Pizzoni (the third Vicar Apostolic of Hong Kong) to negotiate with the Hong Kong government for the exchange of lands. Lands were granted by the government on 14 January 1922 for erecting the present church in order to serve the spiritual needs of the growing population. The Church was intended to provide seating capacity for four times the number of worshippers at the old church (St. Francis Church in Wan Chai).

The church was built along Classical Revival lines with statues of Peter and Paul situated on either side of the front door. The interior of the church is supported by Gothic pillars reaching into a domed ceiling.

We get there at 6pm only to find out mass starts at 630pm (yay! We weren't late) and that it wasn't the Spanish Mass (yay again cuz we don't speak Spanish) but in Cantonese (we definitely don't speak). Only recommendation is for them to update their site cuz it's not correct. I wonder if their English mass is actually...
