If you prefer less crowded in the Tram, buy the 1st tour in the morning. It was just 2 of us, and we had the whole tram during the entire tour. They gave us goodies bag, free postcard for us to write messages and our home address on the postcard and they mail the postcard for free to our home! There was also a board card where we can fold it to a tram! New hands free was given to listen to their introduction of Hong Kong during the tour. Many languages selections. We were lucky that there was no rain. We were given 3 days unlimited rides and we utilised it fully. Read moreUnless you know you're into the Big Bus style of audio 'tours' this isn't anything special and sections of the journey definitely felt quite empty content wise with just the music playing. It's cheaper and much more authentic to take one of the regular trams on the island for sure and they'll actually take you between useful places. No need to pay over HK$100 for this although you do get disposable wired earphones, a bottle of water, some ding ding candy and a golden ticket (allowing you unlimited free normal tram rides until the day after your ride although I didn't test this myself) so there's those...

I enjoyed it thoroughly back in the days but found the recent one somewhat lost its charm. Maybe it’s just me or maybe it’s so much more modernized now. Yes, they still have the ‘ding ding’.
But we did enjoy the ride. Agonizingly slow but it’s enjoyable. We get to watch the locals go about their daily life, traders plying their wares and workers or shoppers jumping in and out of the trams.
Took us nearly 2.5 hours because we made snack stops.
