Cultural Affairs Bureau — Attraction in São Lázaro

One of the interesting buildings you will see at Tap Seac Square is the yellow pastel ICM (Instituto Cultural de Macau) building in the middle of the square. This is an attractive heritage building in the St. Lazarus district of Macau.

This ICM building is Neo-classical in style. It is lined with columns and features a simple pediment with the seal of Macau. It blends in nicely with the array of colonial period properties that make up Tap Seac Square.

At present, the building is used by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Macau, who is responsible for promoting cultural and heritage events and activities around the city.

Está situado na Praça do Tap Seac este belo edifício que resulta de um estilo arquitectónico que fez escola em Macau. Foi construído pela Santa Casa da Misericórdia deste território e resulta da mistura de duas culturas a europeia e a asiática. Depois há uma longa história sobre a utilidade que o edifício foi tendo ao longo dos tempos.
