Café Pasaje is a hidden gem in Bogotá, located near the city center and the Gold Museum. This traditional café has been serving locals and travelers for decades, maintaining a nostalgic charm that makes it stand out from the trendy, modern coffee spots in the city.

Ambiance & History The moment you step inside, you’re transported to another era. The vintage decor, wooden furniture, and the presence of long-time regulars make it feel like a place where time slows down. It has a classic Colombian café atmosphere—simple, warm, and inviting. The walls are filled with history, and you can almost imagine the conversations that have taken place here over the years.

Coffee & Food The coffee is strong and well-prepared, staying true to the traditional Colombian style. If you’re a fan of espresso or tinto (Colombian black coffee), this is a great spot to enjoy an authentic cup. They also offer delicious snacks, including fresh pastries and classic Colombian breakfast options like almojábanas and pan de bono. We had the hot chocolate traditional with cheese and bread. Rica!!

Service & Pricing The staff is friendly and efficient, though don’t expect ultra-fast service—it’s a place to sit back, relax, and enjoy the moment. Prices are reasonable, making it a great stop for anyone exploring the historic center.

Why Visit? If you’re in the area visiting the Gold Museum, Plaza de Bolívar, or La Candelaria, Café Pasaje is a perfect spot for a coffee break. It’s ideal for those who appreciate history, local culture, and a classic Colombian café experience. Location: Just steps from the Gold Museum, making it an easy and...

Very bad experience. We had a coffee and a tea, my boyfriend was sick and I wanted to quickly pay and leave. The old gentleman refused payment by card and when I gave him 50.000 pesos he gave me back the wrong change, taking an extra 15.000 pesos, which I did not immediately check as I was in a hurry. When I realized it I was already in a taxi and too late to be back. Shameful to treat...

It's a historical place in Bogota a tradicional coffee shop with a nice view to the square, it's cozy interior is plagued with various knick-knacks about Bogota and sports, the service is fast. I highly recommend this place if you want to have an authentic experience and if you can, watch a soccer match there to feel the energy Colombians have when their...

I got tinto coffee and 2 meat empanadas. I paid total 10400 COP. Tinto coffee is similar to filter coffee but it is a bit softer. I enjoyed tinto coffee more than filter coffee. Empanadas were delicious. Prices are good for location. They don’t know English but service is really good.

This place is very beautiful. You can get a delicious cafe santafereño or "Tinto" ñ. Here you can watch football matches on the screen of 50. There are many interesting decorative objects to photograph, here you can have a good music conversation.
