Upper Corner Tower Foundry Museum — Attraction in Dubrovnik

Totally agree with other reviews referring to this as a "hidden gem". Having done the City Walls the previous day, this nicely complemented the experience taking you below the walls into the oldest and only preserved structure from the medieval history of Dubrovnik. In complete contrast to the walls above, I had this place to myself. The foundary museum below one of the towers offers a good insight into the casting & moulding processes undertaken here. I hadn't realised that entry to this museum includes a whole section following the west side of the wall down to the south in an area between the main wall and an outer wall with more ruins at the southern end. From the Dubrovnik Pass website this wasn't on the list of inclusions; this needs to be corrected with ALL the places that are included...

The absolute hidden gem of Dubrovnik. There were ZERO other people here and it was an enormous museum with tunnels under the tower, an excavated foundry, parts of the walls you can't see on the wall walk, and a newer excavated area under the south walls. Takes you along one entire side of Old Town. It felt like we had a private tour of the coolest parts of the city. A little hard to find as signage isn't really present, but walk to Minceta Tower within the walls and go up the flight up of stairs at the end of the alley along the basketball court. An incredible experience walking through various hidden gems including the Foundry archeological site, and some otherwise inaccessible areas of the Western wall. Spent a few bemused hours here, wondering how we were the only people here when the walls and city were so busy. We eventually found our way into another archeological site we had seen on our way around the walls the day before. Highly recommend.
