Contemporary Art Museum of Istria — Attraction in Grad Pula

I hate to say it, but it was really bad. In many ways bad. Barely anything (quantity) and the quality was also equal that to a university showing. Super long explanations for why the works are included (basically explaining why this museum should even exist) that seemed sort of pathetic - either the artwork works or doesn't... Give me some context before entering the room and then the title and artist per piece... Also Poorly translated. I really cannot imagine this is the cream of crop in terms of Istrian art! I'm sure there is more out there, more artists needing and wanting a place to be displayed and taken seriously. This really seemed like the work of a hobby curator. And for that it should have been free because a serious price means serious curation. I would like to support Istrian contemporary art, but this didn't seem like the right way to do so. And I also didn't learn...

If you aren't sure whether to visit or not just go. It wont take you long to go round but it's worth it. Google doesn't really help you find it.
