We had the truffle tagliatelle pasta and pizza with salami olives and cherry tomatoes. While Croatia is famous for its truffles, my fiancee was sorely disappointed with the pasta which was average at best, but it was my pizza that was the piece de resistance.
The sauce had absolutely no taste , whatsoever, but the star of the show were the toppings. For some reason they cooked the pizza with the salami, but spirnkled uncooked olives and cherry tomatoes without cooking them with the pizza. And that's not all. The olives had PITS inside them and were whole, as if they were just taken out of a tin jar and thrown on top. One if them even had a stem sticking out of them as can be shown in the picture I took
I had to pay extra for the cherry tomatoes and when the waitress saw I didn't eat them she asked what happened to my toppings all surprised to which I answered "I expected them to be cooked with the pizza" Crazy but all true. I didn't even mention the fact the olives had stems and pits in them, she wouldn't understand what's wrong anyway .
In short stay away from this place and try a different one there are...
Read moreThe only positive thing about this location are the two waiters who are very professional and actively try to solve problems. From the seating to the food, it was a rather bad experience, which is a shame, as we were looking forward to this location (reviews 4.7). The deep-fried calamari probably bathed in sand shortly before (at least it crunched well between the teeth), the "special" with the veal medallions was so tough and streaked with sinew that it was inedible. The sauce, however, was great. The spaghetti with seafood was salty and overcooked and most of the mussels had the consistency of canned mussels. They eventually removed 2 drinks from the bill as we just wanted to pay and leave. The lady behind the counter with the black hair just gave us a disparaging look. I hope that this...
Read moreWe decided to visit the restaurant after google-reviewing restaurants around the amphitheater. Excellent choice. The service was excellent. We started to speak in English but later they noticed that we spoke Spanish and they were really happy to answer in Spanish. That was sweet. They were super busy but always with a smile for each customer. The place inside is small, but it does not feel crowded or noisy. Outside, there are several tables which will be an excellent choice for warmer weather. The food was great and promptly brought to the table. Fazit: Next time in Pula, the first restaurant we will visit will be this one. The 4 stars for "atmosphere" are because of the problem of smelling cigarettes from people outside in the inside...
