Well, how to begin.
It was the worst guided tour I had in my life. Our guide was quite inexperienced (and was quite young, perhaps not even 18 years old) and the training he received is obviously very insufficient. The actual blame is on his supervisor for not preparing him but still need to point out what went wrong for future potential visitors or the young guide himself. He was speaking too quietly, was all over the place and was speaking with a very strong accent. It was really not possible to understand him. He was pronouncing names of famous people in his local language, and speaking fast, which makes it even harder to grasp the context. He was trying to engage people by asking questions but honestly it is quite frustrating to face engagement questions when one cannot even understand anything. If you know that crowd is annoyed, better not ask any questions.
The building itself looks good from the outside but inside all the halls are empty. There are a couple of paintings but that's it. The tour itself mostly revolves around going from one room to another and talking about these paintings, if you can understand something.
And also you get to be shown couple of old pictures of how the old baths were, and you guessed it you don't get to see any real bath in the main tour itself.
All in all, It is really not worth paying about 10 euros per ticket. Not sure about the quality of other languages, but best avoid the...
Read moreNot worth it whatsoever- they were not clear that our ticket didn’t include the baths, and that’s all we wanted to see- instead we were taken on a 45 minute tour where we went to empty rooms that had a few paintings, and we would keep asking when we would see the baths with no answer- then at the end it was finally clarified that the tickets are separate. We never wanted to see the tour of the building- we wanted the baths- and we didn’t get to see them because we needed to move on. So it was a complete waste of time, and honestly not interesting enough to spend an hour there; better to visit other places or walk...
Read more'Cisarskie Lazne' is a grand, historical, very elegant and stylish bath-house. Definitely worth seeing and definitely worth the entrance fee. There are 2 types of tours, one is individual - around the building (takes about 45min) and the other one is guided - around the king's bathroom (takes around 20min at a designated hour). Seeing our bewildered faces upon hearing fast Czech (Poles understand Czech quite well, but when spoken very slowly), our guide named Pavel was really kind to speak in English, he did it very well and we were very grateful. We were actually lucky to be the only people in...
