I've been to Prague 6 times in 4 years and this was our favorite hotel yet! You won't need to rent a car! It is in the best location for walking to all of Pragues hot spots, as well as local shops, restaurants, a grocery store is just a block away, and busses. The rooms are charming and clean with the most plush cozy beds that are very hard to wakeup from. I believe each room is completely different and unique because our room was spacious, had coffee and tea on the table and an ice cold mini bar, unlike some of the previous reviews stated, and it had a newly updated full bathroom. But there was no A/C as mentioned. However we didn't need it the old stone building stays naturally cool at night and you could always crack open the window as I did in the mornings. The inside of the hotel has very cool atmosphere with a blend of the original monastery architecture, art and classic wood furniture and modernized twisting stairs, bathrooms, flooring and furnishings. The complementary breakfast was hands down the Best meal I had the entire trip!!! It has a large selection of fruits, cheeses, fresh breads, meats, fluffy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, yogurt, crepes, jellies and jams, juices and the coffee was so good we made an extra cup (or two) to-go, and sat out in their garden courtyard afterwards to plan our day. They also had fresh egg salad and tuna salad, and I made a couple of little sandwiches to pack in my backpack for my lunch later while exploring Praha. My wife also enjoyed their nice selection of old books to read while she sat out in the garden with her coffee. She found one from the late 1800's and really thought that was neat to skim through. The staff was also friendly and attentive and even though my wife spoke to them in Czech the entire time, to me the spoke English so I wouldn't feel ignored. Awesome Place and we will be back!

I stayed here for four nights in December. It is nuts far enough out of the centre of the old time to make it quieter but close enough for an easy walk in. My room was small and the bathroom was part of the room so if you are sharing and not comfortable with going about your business with the person you are sharing with being the other side of a transparent pane of glass this is probably not the place for you. The hotel generally was pretty quiet but some neighbours struggled to be respectful of others and could only communicate on the stairs and in the corridors by shouting. The WiFi is very erratic and intermittent - dare I say it’s emotional, it was very up and down do if you want to stream something I’d use the connection to download it before you want to watch it. Restaurant & bar is very good, decent prices and very friendly/helpful staff.

Came for a long weekend with friends. A very well positioned and decorated place with a labyrinth of corridors and stairs to get to rooms. Rooms themselves have modern showers and comfortable beds. There was a nightclub nearby which made some noise so we had to close the windows. There was no shower gel in the dispenser so I asked at the front dEsk and the lady promised it would be sorted, but it wasn’t there that night when we returned. Breakfast was very good with choice of teas, coffee, continental and some cooked eggs and sausages - lovely!!

|We stayed at this hotel with friends for two nights in November 2023. Each of us had a double room for single-person use booked, and we all paid the same amount for the rooms. The rooms were supposed to be 19 m², as indicated on booking.com. However, one of my friends received the tiniest room in the hotel, more suitable for 9 or 10 m². Her room was not shown in the pictures on booking.com or other platforms. Despite requesting compensation, the hotel insisted that the room was 19 m², which was clearly not the case. No excuses were provided, and no compensation was offered.||Additionally, the receptionist asked us to pay for our stay upon arrival, which seemed unusual. She failed to provide a proper explanation for the immediate payment requirement. ||Also verifying our passports and nationalities, the receptionist continued to question us about out our citizenship. Eventually, we had to disclose our place of birth and she documented this information which is of course incorrect. No explanation where this information goes and who needs it. ||Also, there was no minibar or refrigerator in the room in this "4 star hotel". |||The positive aspects of this hotel include its good location, breakfast, and quality service at the restaurant, ( waiter and cleaning lady) . I hope the receptionist can learn something from the restaurant staff.||So, if you are looking for a four-star hotel with accurately sized rooms and good service at the reception, I would recommend avoiding this hotel. If you do decide to go there, please check the room first and pay afterwards.||P.S. pictures of the rooms that had the...

The room was very nice, the bed was really comfortable and the tub was amazing. But the hotel is a maze, we had to go up and down steps and through all these different areas to get to our room, if my fiance wasn't with me I would have gotten lost a couple times. When we checked in they showed us through, we thought they were taking us on a tour with all of our luggage but we ended up in our room. No one asked to help with the luggage. The older lady that checked us in was indifferent to us. They should hire a bus boy to assist with baggage if they expect people to do this. But I would have given them four stars if it wasn't for the noise. We were kept up multiple nights by the outside noise. This hotel is in a back alley by houses. There shouldn't be any noise. But two trucks that said catering on the side showed up every night and made all sorts of noise for 2 plus hours around 1am. Also, there is a light post right outside the window and no blackout curtains! For a four star hotel I expected noise proof and light proof windows. If it weren't for the noise and light problem, which in different rooms may not be an issue, then they would have gotten a higher rating. But I feel three stars is fair. The tub and bed made the stay worth it. Loved Praha, it is such a beautiful city and this hotel was in a great spot for getting to the old City. The restaurant Lokal is a good spot to hit if you can get in. Try and make reservations before your stay it's a block away...
