My wife and I, along with two friends, recently experienced the escape room "Haunted House" at The Chamber, and it was an absolute blast! Knowing my own rather significant aversion to anything scary, it was somewhat ironic that I ended up gifting this particular experience to my wife for Christmas. She and our friends had been confidently proclaiming their fearlessness, so I thought this would be a fun (and perhaps slightly mischievous) way to test their bravado. From the moment we stepped into the room, the atmosphere was thick with anticipation and a palpable sense of unease. The theming was incredibly well done, immersing us completely in the spooky setting. The attention to detail in the set design and the clever use of lighting and sound effects truly brought the "haunted house" to life. The puzzles themselves were challenging and engaging, requiring teamwork and communication to solve. They weren't overly obscure, striking a good balance between being mentally stimulating and allowing us to progress at a satisfying pace. We had to work together, combining our different strengths and perspectives to decipher clues and unlock the secrets of the house. What made this experience particularly memorable was the perfect blend of suspense and fun. While I, the self-proclaimed scaredy-cat, definitely had a few moments of genuine unease (and maybe even a slight jump or two!), the overall experience was more thrilling than terrifying. It was incredibly satisfying to work through the puzzles under pressure, and the sense of accomplishment after each solved challenge was fantastic. And as for my wife and our supposedly fearless friends? Let's just say there might have been a few more yelps and gasps than they had anticipated! It was thoroughly entertaining to witness their reactions, and even they admitted to feeling a healthy dose of adrenaline throughout the game. A special shout-out also needs to go to our fantastic Gamemaster, Kuba! His guidance really enhanced our overall experience. He was engaging, helpful, and clearly passionate about the game, making the whole adventure even more enjoyable. "Haunted House" at The Chamber is undoubtedly one of the best escape rooms we've ever done. It masterfully combines a compelling narrative, immersive theming, and clever puzzles to create a truly unforgettable experience. Whether you're a seasoned escape room enthusiast or a first-timer, and even if you have a slight fear of the spooky (like me!), this game is highly recommended. Just be prepared for a few chills and a whole lot of fun! We left buzzing with excitement and already planning our next escape room adventure. Highly...
Read moreI've been to probably 20-25 escape rooms, mainly in the United States, and this is one of the best escape rooms I've ever done. I would definitely come back here to do another escape room, and I wish we had had time to do more of them at The Chamber.
My wife and I came to The Chamber and did Zodiac Patres. Vit was our Dungeon Master, and he did a really great job. His English was very good, he explained the rules and parameters very clearly, and he played his character very well, with humor and wit.
As somebody who had done a lot of escape rooms, I was really pleased to see that the puzzles weren't just a series of getting codes to unlock combination locks, as some escape rooms are. The puzzles were innovative, and the quality of the props and the room itself was amazing. It really was pretty immersive. There was teamwork involved, a lot of communication was required, and even some physical dexterity needed, which made for a fun time.
Also, Vit did a great job of monitoring our progress and providing hints as needed. Most importantly, there was one point where we put the clues together correctly, but the mechanism that was supposed to be tripped did not trip correctly. I'm not sure what the malfunction was, but Vit was watching us and hit some kind of override to trip the mechanism to correct the malfunction, knowing that we had gotten the clue right. We were really impressed that Vit was overseeing the room closely and acted to ensure we had a good experience despite a malfunction.
This was the sign of a well-designed and expertly operated escape room, because I've been in escape rooms before where a mechanical function did not operate correctly, and we lost of a lot of time, and the employees made no effort to correct for that or even apologize for their equipment's malfunction after the fact.
All in all, to reiterate, The Chamber was one of the best escape rooms...

In a city laden with ancient tales and alleyways, I stumbled upon an experience that even the darkest recesses of my mind couldn't conjure. As dusk settled over Prague, our group of four approached the 'Haunted House'. Our laughter echoed through the narrow street, jests exchanged and false bravado displayed. But as that great oaken door closed behind us and the ambient light betrayed its treachery, a weighty silence replaced our jests.
The rooms of the Haunted House unfolded like the pages of a macabre novel, each filled with its own nightmare. The chilling sight of books defying gravity, coupled with ethereal figures of horror wandering the labyrinthine underground, were testament to the supernatural hold this place possessed. The intensity of the jump scares had one amongst us—previously the boldest of our party—crab-walking back to what he perceived as safety, his eyes wide and unblinking.
Every creak of the floorboards, every groan of the walls, was underscored by a hauntingly perfect melody that seemed to have been composed by specters themselves. The puzzles we encountered were masterpieces, woven seamlessly into the narrative, never feeling out of place, but instead pushing us deeper into the heart of the horror.
The enigmatic Sylvie greeted us at the entrance, her narration not a mere introduction but an ancient curse being recited. Her subtle, cryptic hints provided during our ordeal only added layers to the mystery. And Kuba? That man is a maestro of horror. Even after our escape, his specter haunted our conversations, his performance too unsettling to shake off.
For those brave souls wandering Prague's streets after twilight, seeking something truly unique, I dare you to knock on the door of the Haunted House. But be warned, its horrors are not for the...
