Review: Original Beer Spa – A One-Time Experience Worth Knowing About We visited the Original Beer Spa over the weekend — a group of four guys curious about what the hype was all about. While the name might evoke visions of soaking in beer, the reality is a little different. The tubs aren’t filled with actual beer, but rather a mix of water and beer-related ingredients like hops and brewer’s yeast, which they claim are beneficial for the skin. The experience starts with a quick introduction from the staff. They explain the setup and set a 51-minute timer for your session. Once the timer goes off, you’re expected to shower and head out. The room itself is quite warm, almost sauna-like, and the sturdy wooden tub maintains a steady temperature of around 37°C with bubbling jets to keep things relaxing. You are offered unlimited free beer during the session, but realistically, not many people drink much in that one hour — I don’t drink myself, so it didn’t matter to me. Still, it might be a perk for beer enthusiasts. As for the staff, they were functional — they answered questions and did their job, but don’t expect warm hospitality or enthusiastic smiles. They’re polite, but the overall vibe was more transactional than welcoming. The spa is decent overall, and it might be worth trying once just for the novelty, but for the price, I personally didn’t feel it offered great value. It’s not something I’d return to — I’ve had my experience, and that’s enough. Tip: Make sure to keep pictures of the entrance and location, especially if you’re visiting for the first time. It helps to know exactly where you’re going, as it’s easy to miss or walk past it without realizing.

Yes, it’s a bit of a tourist trap—but honestly, it’s one that’s worth experiencing while in Prague. The novelty of soaking in a beer-filled tub, sipping unlimited draft beer, and just kicking back is unlike anything else. I went with my husband, and we each got our own tub, which made it feel extra relaxing and personal. I could also see this being a super fun outing for a small group of friends. If I had one regret, it’s that we only booked a one-hour session. It wasn’t quite enough time to fully enjoy the soak, take some photos, sip beer, and unwind. If you can, I highly recommend booking a longer session. Arrive about 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in—everything was smooth, and the staff was pleasant at the start. However, the tone changed a bit at the end. We were notified right when our time was up, and within a minute of heading to the restroom, someone was already knocking to see if I was done. It felt very rushed and left us scrambling to get dressed and out the door, which put a bit of a damper on the experience. On a brighter note, the bread and tofu spread they served were surprisingly delicious—possibly even better than the beer! Overall, it’s a unique and memorable experience.

Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and courteously asked to wait briefly until our room was prepared. Entering the room, an employee had already drawn a bath and was in the process of creating a mixture of light and dark beer with finely grained hops, explaining the procedure to us. He suggested waiting for 2 hours before showering to maximize the bath's benefits. Within the hour, we were informed we could use the straw bed, beer bath, and sauna. Personally, I found that engaging in these activities after an hour was just getting started; I'd recommend allowing for 2 hours if feasible, as I found myself constantly checking the time. A timer was set for 51 minutes by the employee, who returned to the room to begin the countdown, factoring in 9 minutes for drying off and dressing. During this time, I spent 30 minutes in the sauna and 20 minutes in the bath. Unlimited light and dark beer were available throughout the experience, which was a nice touch. There's a changing room equipped with a bathroom for larger groups, and amenities like towels, robes, and wooden shoes were provided—though we only utilized the towels, opting for swimming shorts and a bathing suit. We speculated that going au naturel might be feasible but potentially unhygienic. Remarkably, my skin felt noticeably softer throughout the day, and I genuinely felt relaxed—unusual for me, as I'm generally indifferent to spas. Overall, it was a fantastic experience; my only advice would be to shower before arriving to avoid constantly checking the time during...

My wife and I were visiting Prague and decided to visit the Original Beer Spa and we could not have been happier with our experience! This place is a beer lover's dream location. We had a 2 hour experience and our room had 2 private hot tubs, a bed, a sauna, a shower, and our own private changing area and bathroom for when you are done. I am honestly very happy we did this experience for 2 hours rather than 1, as 1 would have left me wanting more.

The room itself is much bigger than I expected. You get to enjoy unlimited light and dark Krusovice beer (which is delicious) while you are sitting in your hot tub that is filled with beer. It's a fun experience just having private beer taps to pour too! My wife enjoyed pouring me several beers, as she had never used a beer tap before...now she is a pro. It is honestly so relaxing and unique, I would recommend this to anyone, even if you're not a huge beer fan (it is that enjoyable).

Once you're done in the hot tub, you can jump in the shower to get the beer off you, and then enjoy the sauna to warm up. There is also a very unique (surprisingly soft) bed made of straw that you can chill in as well if you don't want to get back in the hot tub. When your time is almost complete in the room, the staff will give you a ten minute warning so that you can take your time to get dressed prior to leaving.

All said and done, this was the highlight of our month long trip to the Czech Republic. I would highly recommend to anyone...
