Hotel Praga 1 — Hotel in Prague

Sadly, the staff in the kitchen and breakfast room are the very worst! I've been to many hotels, but I've never experienced such outrageous behavior. Breakfast is served until 10am and cleared away at half past nine, which is fine if that's how you want to do it. The worst thing is that as soon as a hotel guest politely asks the staff member for something, they are shouted at aggressively and make vulgar gestures. This woman is not only extremely rude but also very aggressive and verbally abusive. No matter how good the breakfast was, an encounter like this ruins the guest's experience. Other guests were even afraid of this employee. When I reported back to the receptionist, she just shrugged her shoulders. This lady said she doesn't care, I should just write a bad review.

Dear owner, is this the kind of behavior you want from your staff?

I don't think so as unfortunately our actually positive experience is ruined. Very unfortunate as the room and location are good. Oh well, the man at reception was very nice, but the blonde lady was the disrespectful and ignorant receptionist I was referring to.

As mentioned, that the breakfast ends at 10am and it is cleaned it’s not a problem. By the way, everything was cleaned at 9.30 am and not at 10!

The blond women from the breakfast room spoke a bit English and I mentioned her GESTURES. Her gestures were very insultive and rude. Besides that she was screaming us (in English) she was using agressive and abusive Hand Gestures! She moved her hands AGGRESSIVELY in our direction while she screamed.

Btw please don’t lie, we have left the breakfast...

A horrible experience with extremely rude staff. We wanted to ask some questions before we could check in and the lady with red hair behind the counter said we had to leave really aggressively. When we came back to check in she wanted to send us away because she couldn't find our reservation only after we showed our conversation she let us in didn't even say sorry. On the other hand the Ukrainian guy behind the counter was the nicest person ever and was extremely helpful! Also they said that there was wifi everywhere in the hotel but that was a lie the wifi connection was gone as soon as we got higher then the 2nd floor. Some nicer things were the breakfast and location but the rooms were nothing...

SITUACIÓN DEL HOTEL: El hotel está situado a unos 18min andando del centro de la ciudad (la plaza donde está el Reloj Astronómico). Tiene cerca 2 supermercados (Albert y el Billa) a parte de los típicos “chinos” donde comprar agua, refrescos o algo de comer.

Relativamente cerca tienes también 2 metros (Mustek y Muzeum) que te llevan a la parada de autobús que te comunican con el aeropuerto. (Por cierto, aquí los billetes de metro/tranvía/bus no van por zonas, paradas o tipo de transporte. Van por tiempo. Por ejemplo si compras un billete de 1h, tienes 60min desde que lo validas hasta que pierde su validez).

ASPECTOS POSITIVOS: Los recepcionistas eran muy majos. La habitación correcta: limpia, tenía un pequeño frigorífico, aire acondicionado, calefacción, una pequeña caja fuerte, un amplio armario… En el baño nos encontramos con una pequeña cesta con geles, champús, acondicionadores y cremas corporales. Nunca se nos agotó el agua caliente y salía con buena presión.

El buffet del desayuno lo encontramos muy bien pese a otros comentarios que leímos. Había un poco de todo: huevos revueltos, salchichillas, embutidos, quesos, cereales, varios tipo de panes, yogures, bollería, pequeños envases de nocilla (perdón nutella), tostadas… para mí es importante el desayuno de un hotel y pienso que éste estuvo correcto. También hay máquinas para diferentes tipos de café y otra de zumos (no naturales) y agua mineral. El servicio de desayuno era de 7 a 10am. Solían reponer cada poco.

La tarjeta de la habitación también sirve para poder acceder al hotel, por lo que te da más seguridad.

El día que dejamos la habitación pudimos dejar sin coste adicional las maletas en un cuarto habilitado para ello, pudiendo aprovechar la mañana para seguir viendo esta extraordinaria ciudad.

ASPECTOS A MEJORAR: Aunque no consumimos nada del mini-bar, éste no funcionaba. La ducha era algo pequeña: si te girabas, a veces sin querer te dabas con el mando y la apagabas… o la girabas al lado del agua fría :S En una ocasión tuvimos que pedir geles porque no los habían repuesto.

VALORACIÓN FINAL: Personalmente es un hotel recomendable en todos...
