The landmark itself was a nice experience with great views of the city. The problem is the scam being used on the public transport to gain access to the hill. We attempted to buy tickets from the ticket machine as there were no staff around. The signs and machines were in Czech with no English option. We paid for what we thought were 2 standard tickets. When arriving back down the hill after visiting the site, everyone was asked to produce their tickets by three wardens (where were these wardens on the way up?). We were stopped and told we had to pay a 1600kr (£60) on the spot fine or be arrested. Apparently we had purchased 2 child tickets that cost 32kr (£1.20) less than the adult tickets overall. We were gutted as we had been honest and bought what we thought was the correct ticket. It seems like a scam to me when the first option on the machine was a childs ticket in another language and then three wardens just jump out at the end. If you do attempt this one just be sure your tickets...
Read morePetřín Tower is a must-visit in Prague! Located on Petřín Hill, it offers breathtaking views of the city. The ticket price is reasonable (around 150 CZK for adults, with a student discount available for those under 25 with a valid ID). Be prepared to climb a lot of steps – over 300 to reach the top – but trust me, the views are totally worth the effort!
The tower has two observation decks: the first one is open-air, and the second is enclosed but has small open windows for taking pictures. You may have to wait your turn to get a good spot for photos, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The tower is quite high, and on windy days you can even feel it sway a bit, which adds to the adventure!
Highly recommend this experience if you’re in Prague, especially for the incredible panoramic views of the...
Read moreWe are disappointed because you must pay two times if you dont walk up to the mountain to enjoy the beautiful view of Prag. First you can drive with a mountain tram up the mountain, but then you must pay again more than 100 Kronen per Person to go higher that you can see anything of the city. But then you must walk all the stairs up because the elevator is not working. And then arriving on the top the windows are closed with Keychains and you can make not good photos. Only to go the half down but you cannot see them the complete city with the beautiful bridges. Only way to make photos between the upper part of the tower but be careful that your phone falls not down 😁 it can be windy and dangerous. Its worth to enjoy the view but its too...
