It has been my favorite place in Mala strana and today was my another visit after a week. However my experience that I had today was very disappointing... I checked their lunch menu on Facebook in advance and visited. but I did not make a reservation today so I had to wait. (there was a man came after me and he did not have reservation either as I understood, so he left. Then an employee suddenly went out to tell him something and he came back and went in earlier than me in the end.)

Then when I was seated they said there is only one menu left among today's lunch menu. So I ordered the last one.

And when the food was served soon I found out they served me with different side dish from what it was noticed on their menu... so I asked, and they said the original side dish was finished so they served potato instead of it.

If they informed me in advance about the change, I would either accept or not take the menu so it won't be a problem at all for both sides.

But as they JUST served me whatever they have in the kitchen without informing their customer about the change, it was very embarrassing and unpleasant that so I left all food after few bites. It took me 10minutes to leave the restaurant since I was seated....

I understand it is always so busy during lunch time but still they could have let their...

Frankly, I don't understand the queue to come here. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing, but it was not worth the hype at all.

The queue to get in if you have a reservation, even at the beginning of their opening, is baffling to me.

The menu seems limited, and to be honest, there wasn't much on there I wanted to eat at noon. It seems plates for later in the day, like late afternoon or dinner. Definitely do not expect brunch or anything of that style. I settled for a cheeseburger because there was simply nothing else that was appealing to me at 12:00. It was all heavy dishes, and I had duck the previous night. I didn't even really want the burger, but it lacked options. The stew was fine, but nothing special. The burger was small, overcooked, and dry. The best part was the little fried fish we had as an app.

The server was quite unfriendly and sour looking. He barely spoke and had a scowl on his face almost the entire time. Not good vibes.

The cappuccino was pleasant in taste but mediocre in execution, and the juice was good. Aesthetics are pleasing but not much else.

The patio has a nice ambiance and was out of direct sunlight, which is good. Chairs were uncomfortable. There are plenty of other interesting spots in the immediate area, so if you don't get in here, there are...

The menu wasn’t as we anticipated.

I found this restaurant rated highly on TripAdvisor when searching for Czech and vegetarian food, the website said there were vegetarian dishes and traditional Czech cuisine. In reality these both consisted of the “fried cheese” dish, which looked as if I had ordered from the kids menu - very beige.

I think it would be good if they could find a way to improve upon this dish, perhaps with a nice salad or a Czech side dish to make it feel more like a meal.

It would have been good to see a wider selection of both vegetarian and also traditional Czech dishes. To be honest, the menu seemed confused with French, Korean, Chinese, Czech, and Mediterranean dishes and no real theme.

The beef bourguignon was nice.

During our visit we overheard some Italian visitors having some dispute about the spurious currency conversion rates used by the restaurant when paying in EUR, so be careful to pay in CZK.

When paying the waiter was very pushy for a tip, which we opted not to give as this isn’t expected “by default” in Prague and the visit didn’t seem worthy of a tip, to which the waiter became pushy about what was wrong with the restaurant (basically implying it was an insult we didn’t give one). This didn’t sit...

An absolutely stunning place in the heart of Prague🥰 Me and my whole family love it here and we always like to stop by for their mini-fried-cheese, “grundle” (little fried fishies which is a super niche old-bohemian appetizer), great drinks and beautiful atmosphere in the outside garden. If you are looking for a really pretty place for a dinner with friends, definitely stop by! The staff is super friendly too.
