The worst "museum" I've ever been to. The receptionist was really weird and kept asking my friend and me uncomfortable questions, we tried to just buy our tickets but he didn't let us pay until we were almost about to leave because of how uncomfortable he made us. The museum itself was genuinely the most boring museum I've ever been to, if you can even call this a museum. The first room had some long explanations and stuff about ghosts everywhere, which was pretty okay. But the moment you went down the stairs it just got worse, there were some dolls place wherever, no story or meaning behind any of them and after 5 minutes it was all over. NOT recommended at all, don't waste your money on this. (The guide didn't work properly so we didn't use it)

Do not let the top floor fool you, this is scary!! The first half is family friendly and interactive. You could easily bring kids and let them run around interacting with the exhibits while you read about different Czech legends. The bottom half however is all ghosts! I went to this museum alone and I had to wait for others to go with me because I was too scared to go alone! It is a bit pricey, but I got the combined tickets with the alchemist museum with a student discount so I thought it was definitely worth it! Everything had an English translation and I could go at my own pace and go in any order I wanted! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking to kill some time!

Have to disagree with some negative reviews probably due that we visited the museum on late morning (4-6 people). Of course you may expect something similar to a "horror theme house", this is not a walking evening undeground tour of the city. The girl at the ticket desk really knows her job and gave an awesome explanation of how the museum "works". Very kind person. The first part is more based on reading legends / stories while the underground part is really enjoyable when there are no other people who bother during the "ghost research". As integration you can evaluate to purchase a combined ticket for this museum plus the Alchemy Museum.

I don’t usually bother leaving bad reviews online, but I felt rather upset and believe it might be useful for fellow travellers to know this;

This museum does not allow service dogs. Now, before you go and think “no dogs means no dogs”, please know that my dog has the proper paperwork, the proper vest and I always carry my legal papers in case I meet any trouble.

I was asked ‘what, are you blind?’ As a response to me explaining that my dog is a service animal and I’ll happily prove it if need be. Most of the time, people see the vest and know that 1) my dog is trained and will not cause trouble and 2) legally speaking, I cannot be expected to separate from my service animal unless incredibly necessary. Those situations are rare and close to impossible.

I don’t know if there is a loophole where a business can refuse entrance (the man literally shut the door so I could not go) regardless of legal service animal paperwork… but I was very disappointed.

Please note: I also had my dog in a carrier to facilitate people’s comfort. I do not need to do this, I purchased it entirely to make it easier for those with animal fears and/or allergies. I have PTSD and I am Autistic.

Not all disabilities are visible, please do better. Thank you. I did not end up being able to go at all, the man did eventually give up and rudely said I could go— but at that point, I didn’t feel safe doing so and left...

Super bad experience.

I have bought a double ticket for this and was told it is open until 22:00.

We came at 21:30 for the tour and there was one older fat guy there that told us super agresive that we can not visit because it is too late. I kindly asked him if we could maybe do a fast tour as we were leaving the city the following day and we would like to use the tickets we bought.

The guy then got very aggresive and said “Do you speak english?” …

I said this is BS since we bought the tickets and were not allowed to use it. He than slammed-opened the door and shouted: “Do you want to fight me?” 😒😒😒

I was not sure if I should call the police or not, but chose not to, however I strongly recomand you not to visit this place in order not to get your holiday vibe get ruinned as long as such behaviour is displayed as face of a...

We, unfortunately, didn’t even get a chance to go to the museum, because of the receptionist guy. I was really excited, but the guy started asking us random and uncomfortable questions. He basically harassed us, mocked the political situation (a dire situation) in our country, and spewed propaganda at us. He mocked the people fighting for our freedom on the streets for MONTHS! I have absolutely NO idea why he has the urge to harass people like that, but other reviews also state he likes to ask weird questions and mock people. He wouldn’t listen to our reasoning and kept pushing us to buy the ticket. As people who have suffered decades of occupation and now our freedom itself is on the line, we just walked away. Only wish I knew some “bad” words in Czech, so I could answer him properly in other than Georgian...
