The temple is amazing! magnificent! glorious, gothic, majestic. From the outside you can admire it daily and never get tired of it, you really feel tiny compared to it and its beauty is unparalled. It also has nice interior with beautiful stained glass art and maybe my favorite (or in top 3 easily) organ i have seen.

now, why 3 stars?

  1. There is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge line to enter it, and even if that makes sense until now, please be informed that all this line ALREADY HAS A TICKET. Yes, there is NOT a "skip the line ticket", you get your ticket on a small room somewhere nearby and you must wait to enter for alifetime because they dont even have a 2nd clerk to scan your ticket. It is a tragedy.
  2. inside the church almost all the central part is prohibited (like you cant even sit and pray if you want), so all the visitors have to walk the perimeter clockwise. Now this has 2 huuuuuuuuge flaws: when you reach the end, you cannot just circle again! it is not connected! for god's sake! you have to circle your way back! now, you pay a very expensive ticket (~18eu) to get inside, it only makes sense that you should have the time to admire it with your pace... second flaw is that in the center of the circle, behind the abbey, the corridor gets so narrow tat all the visitors are stacked and barely walking... there are pushings, the other may cough inside your face, there is no mood to admire the art... what is this? it really blows off all the mood to admire the church, also has the covd taught us nothing ?? and of course if you want to circle again the chrch, you must face this crowd on this narrow spot going against you! it is a farse...
  3. now you will ask me, why not exit the church and go back again in? well, for firsts, youwill have to wait again in this huge line (remmeber, no skip the line entrance? )also, they wont let you, you buy an expensive ticket and you can only visit it one time (which is normal by itself, but combine it with the terrible navigation within the temple and its a tragedy)
  4. beware of any SKIP-THE-LINE ticket from 3rd parties (even valid ones like getyour guide etc). These guys give you the tickets so as to skip the line n the ticket room!!!! you still have to wait for the St Vitus huuuuuuuuuuge line to enter!

it is very expensive, not proper signage to avoid confusion (we were lucky we decided to pay extra for the skip the line, otherwise we would just wait in the line 1hr just to show up in the entrance without tickets) and once you get inside it is so anticlimactic... enjoy the masterpiece of a building from the outside and skip giving your money when they treat you like this....

another tip is to avoid the time window between 11:00-14:00, it is close the the main change of the guard so the number of the tourist peaks... if you go early maybe the line will be manageable. I...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting St. Vitus Cathedral, and I must say that it left me utterly awestruck. Located within the captivating Prague Castle complex, this architectural masterpiece stands as a testament to human creativity and devotion. St. Vitus Cathedral is a must-visit for anyone seeking to explore the rich history and exquisite beauty of Prague.

From the moment I approached the cathedral, I was captivated by its grandeur. The sheer size of the structure and the intricacy of its Gothic design are truly remarkable. The exterior showcases a stunning blend of spires, arches, and ornate details that make for a breathtaking sight. The imposing facade, adorned with intricate sculptures and vibrant stained glass windows, immediately sets the tone for the awe-inspiring experience that awaits inside.

Stepping into the cathedral, I was greeted by a vast interior that exudes a sense of reverence and tranquility. The soaring vaulted ceilings, adorned with elegant ribbed arches, create a sense of space that is both ethereal and intimate. The play of light through the stained glass windows casts a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of colors, adding to the magical ambiance.

Exploring the cathedral further, I was amazed by the numerous chapels and altars that showcase exquisite craftsmanship. The Chapel of St. Wenceslas, with its intricate mosaics and golden decor, is a true gem. The Chapel of St. John Nepomuk, adorned with silver decorations and adorned with stunning frescoes, is equally impressive. Each corner of the cathedral unveils a new masterpiece, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the rich history and artistic legacy.

Climbing the tower of St. Vitus Cathedral provides a breathtaking panoramic view of Prague. From the heights of the tower, the city spreads out before you, offering a unique perspective on its enchanting beauty. It's an experience not to be missed.

The staff and volunteers at St. Vitus Cathedral deserve special mention for their warm hospitality and willingness to share their knowledge. Their passion for the cathedral's history and architecture adds an extra layer of appreciation to the visit.

In conclusion, St. Vitus Cathedral is a true gem that embodies the splendor of Prague's architectural heritage. It is a place that transcends time and leaves visitors in awe of human ingenuity and artistic expression. Whether you are a history enthusiast, an art lover, or simply someone seeking a spiritual experience, a visit to St. Vitus Cathedral will leave an indelible mark on your...

If you're visiting Prague, St. Vitus Cathedral is definitely a must-see destination. This stunning cathedral, located in the heart of the city, is a true masterpiece of Gothic architecture and is home to many impressive works of art.

One of the best things about St. Vitus Cathedral is that you don't have to pay anything to enjoy it. That's right - you can view almost all of the beautiful architecture and artwork inside without purchasing a ticket. This makes it a great option for travelers on a budget, or anyone who just wants to take in the beauty of the cathedral without any added expenses.

The interior of the cathedral is absolutely breathtaking. The stained glass windows are particularly impressive, and the intricate stone carvings throughout the building are also worth taking a closer look at. Be sure to take your time wandering through the various chapels and other areas of the cathedral, as there are so many hidden treasures to discover.

If you're a history buff, you'll appreciate the fact that St. Vitus Cathedral has been around since the 14th century. It has played an important role in the city's history over the years, and it's fascinating to learn more about the cathedral's past.

In addition to being a stunning example of Gothic architecture, St. Vitus Cathedral also conveniently boasts several cafeterias that offer quick and delicious food options.

Whether you're in the mood for a light snack or a full meal, you're sure to find something to satisfy your cravings. Some of the cafeterias in the area serve traditional Czech fare, while others offer more international options.

One thing to keep in mind is that the cafeterias can get quite busy during peak tourist season, so be prepared to wait in line if you visit during these times. However, the delicious food and convenient location make it well worth the wait.

I highly taking advantage of the cafeterias when visiting St. Vitus Cathedral. They offer a great opportunity to refuel and recharge before continuing your exploration of the city.

Overall, I highly recommend a visit to St. Vitus Cathedral. The fact that you can enjoy almost everything it has to offer for free makes it an even more appealing destination. So if you're in Prague, be sure to add this stunning cathedral to...
