This is my favorite hostel I have been to so far. Cheap but very good value! The breakfast is only €5 and it is all you can eat (see picture with buffet). A towel is included with your bed. There are public area on each floor where you can sot and relax or talk with other travelers. The hostel is very spacious. There is also laundry services and a bar. Most of the beds have privacy curtains. Each has an outlet, light, and little shelf. There are toilets and shower rooms scattered throughout the hostel. The shower area near my room was different than I'm used to because there is a shower and bath area and two sinks, but no privacy curtain or wall. So it is not an efficient setup when there are a lot of people in each room and only one person can use the shower or sink. (That is why I am giving it 4 stars and not 5) Overall this was a very cute hostel, and located within walking distance of main attractions in Prague.

I only had one night here but I was impressed how spacious it was and they utilized that space well for social hangout spaces. It's definitely a great value for your money, the terrace on the top floor is a pretty great feature, kitchen seemed awesome. My only issues are the 5-10 minute walk to transit on a decent slope, there is no elevator, the doors and very thin so sounds transmit easily, especially since the floors are tile, and the curtains in my dorm room were not even close to blackouts so bring your eye blinders. If you have mobility issues, this place is just a hard pass. I wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy the social areas more, but even in the little time I spent there I made some good friends. Beds were fine. Would recommend. I also really like this side of town

I’ve been to about 8 hostels in Prague before and this is the best one out of those. Huge rooms with fans and powerpoints, incredible location, super nice staff, space to work, free towels and locks, good security and the access cards work, lockers in the rooms. They accept payment by card in multiple currencies, there’s water for sale on site, guests are nice, lots of bathrooms, and everything is spotless clean. Wifi works everywhere (bit dicey on some parts of the third floor) and there is a cool balcony on the roof for some sunshine. No elevator, but the building is old and beautiful in a stunning area. Loved staying here, and I’m fussy.

We stayed in a big private room. The hostel has in a nice location and the rooms are nice. Most of the staff are also very friendly. But we were very unlucky with our room, and especially one receptionist. It was the only room on the ground floor, right by the smoking area next to the bar. There were three thin windows which did not protect from the noise outside at all. If someone talked at a normal voice level it felt like they were sitting in the room with you. On top of that you don't really get any light in or fresh air, unless you want people to stare at you all night.

We thought that this was okay, since the policy was that the outside area closes at 22:00 and the bar closes at 24:00, and we did not want to be to much trouble. First night was kinda noisy at times, since they actually do not close the outside area before the bar closes, like the sign said. But people went to bed at some point. In the morning at around 4:30 they started rolling what sounded like bins in to the bar. This was anoying, but also okay because ofcourse they need to do their job.

We realise now, that we should have gone to the manager straight away, but we were hesitant, because we thought we could talk to the night receptionist if it was to much trouble, and some nights were okay. A few of the worst nights had the same night receptionist working, who didn't have any intention of closing the area at all. I got this feeling that he would invite his own friends over because he would be smoking and talking in the outside area with them. But what do i know, maybe he was just partying with the guests. Or a bit of both.

The last night we had to get up at 4:00 in the morning to go to the airport after getting home at 24:15 after a concert. The outside area was packed with people, and this same guy is at work. We ask him straight away if he would be so kind and close down the area, because we had to get up again very soon. He says no because the bar is still open. We tell him about the signs saying "No noise after 22:00." He says it just means people can't be loud after 22:00, but says he will tell people to not talk so loud. This dosen't help at all. My girlfriend walks out again 20 minutes later, asks him to come in our room and listen how loud it is. He says he already knows how bad it is, he has already told his manager, like him not taking responsibility is going to help anything. I walk out 15 minutes later and tells him that he can't be serious, and that the sign is there for a reason, and if he knows how bad the noise is why doesn't he do his job. It takes like 10 minutes to convince this guy that if the party has to keep going, he has to tell the people to at least go down to the bar. This surpsingly helps, and most of the people leave the outside area. But there are still a few people left sitting and talking quietly. Even though normal talk is still like them sitting next to you on your bed. But of course more people joined again and my girlfriend would spend the whole night, trying to convince the receptionist to let us get som sleep, or just another room to rest in.

The experince was overall bad, but it culminated the last night when there was no sympathy at all, and a lot of bad excuses. I know that we should have acted sooner and demanded a different room, but we kept thinking it would get better. I'm sure you can have a nice stay at this hostel, but i am also sure you get a lot more sleep in the dorm rooms (for a lot less money) than the private room we stayed in. Even without the terrible receptionist, the room we stayed in was not fit for sleeping unless there were no people up in the night at all. Maybe it could be decent if they were wiling to lock the smoking area in the night time, but even then it would still be noisy. Imagine if you were sleeping in a dorm room and half the dorm was sitting in the room drinking and talking all night, with occasinal music and youtube videos.. Sleep tight. Even just a bed in the dorm would have helped...
