Parque Guápulo — Attraction in Itchimbia

The Guápulo park is a big place, it has many green areas, It has two lagoos too, it has courts for sports, it has an amazing lookout and the most important admission is free, you can visit with friends, you can take pets too.

For me Guápulo was a incredible place for visiting with my friends, we met many green places, after we took many photos because there were beautiful places, we have fun, then we arrived at home and cooked the dinner.

Its a serene park, almost like a forest but with a lot of space for games and picnics. There is a bathroom, play grounds for kids, swings etc. Volleyball court, lots of area to play any games. Hiking trials, a lagoon. Tranquil, lovely place full of greens, trees etc. Down side is too much mosquitos or small insects but that's expected because of the trees and plants. So its advisable to bring sunscreen and mosquito or insect repellent. Long sleeves shirt and long comfortable pants. I wont advice shorts as the insects...

Quito is a city that I would NOT recommend to anyone who cares for their own mental health. If you live in this overly polluted place, you'll be thankful for "parks" like Parque Guápulo and Metropolitano, where people can be exposed to a modicum of nature and heal accordingly. Surprisingly, the local government has yet to ruin these places for its own greed. I suggest visiting here often to find solace. Please be mindful and respect what little trees and animals...
