Chez Jérôme — Restaurant in Iñaquito

This restaurant has two of the three components of a great restaurant. Location and food & service. Sitting on a hill above Whymper, with a windowed face toward the western mountains and a well kept garden, this is one of the more agreeable restaurant locations we've tried. From the moment we entered, we were treated to excellent service and attention. The drinks were well made and strong. Ifor our main, I ordered the salmon, which the waiter modified to make or substitute all of the dairy ingredients. My wife ordered the tuna tartar. While we waited, we were treated to a small but welcomed salad followed by some breads, which were hot and well made. Along with the bread there was a buttery herb spread that my wife very much enjoyed, but I stayed away from. When the food arrived, we were delighted by the presentation. My wife's face lit up as she took a bite of the tuna. She raved about the complexity of the flavors. My salmon was cooked to perfection, and the vegetables made a nice mix of flavors and textures. The salmon had a mushroom jelly, which added a textual experience to the meat but was a little too sweet. Still, the meal was excellent. INTOXICACIÓN ALIMENTARIA, FOOD POISONING:

Este mensaje va dirigido a Usted Señora Maria Augusta de Monteillet, Gerente General de Chez Jerome/Hay Pan, porque Usted es la mentirosa tratando de evitar su responsabilidad por la intoxicación alimentaria de tu restaurante, de tu comida. Yo no dudo que ustedes intentan a seleccionar sus proveedores con los más altos estándares de calidad y buenas practicas alimenticias, por eso pasaban muy recomendados. Yo no dudo que sirvieran tantos platos de comida ese día sin incidente, pero ME PASÓ A MI, de TU COMIDA.

Yo no tengo ninguna razón a mentir ni quiero gastar tanta energía escribiendo esta carta porque no debería tener que estar haciéndolo. Estas no son acusaciones sin fundamento alguno, El fundamento de lo que pasó fue INTOXICACIÓN ALIMENTARIA y fue muy grave, de tu comida y no había otra razón o posibilidad para esta intoxicación; ahora no estoy sorprendido de que seas un hipócrita para decir “es un asunto que lo tomamos con toda la seriedad del caso ya que es un hecho inaceptable”.

Si es verdad que es inaceptable lo que pasó a mi de tu comida y es obvio que ustedes no les importan nada porque me dejaron botado sin compasión a cumplir su responsabilidad de arreglar la situación, esto también es inaceptable.

Les contamos un poco de antecedentes de lo sucedido para poner contexto: Yo comí en Chez Jerome/Hay Pan el 13 de octubre al medio día acompañado, hay testigo y hay una factura; no comí nada más en el día porque fue tanta comida, hay testigo; a las 8 en la noche empece a vomitar toda la comida tuya entera, salió mucha comida y fueron muy identificables: el jamón procesado, 3 huevos revueltos cocidos con verduras y pan integral, Ya No Hay Pan!

Por más de 4 horas estuve vomitando con diarrea y me admití al hospital a la 1 en la mañana el 14 de octubre con un riñón fallando y convulsiones en todo el cuerpo, me dijeron que casi me muero de intoxicación de comida. Tengo testigos, el registro y la cuenta del hospital, el diagnostico y un testimonio del doctor porque es la verdad y debería ponerme en servicio al publico para avisarles a todos que tan peligroso es comer en su restaurante.

Tu no puedes negar que pasó de tu comida o simplemente no quieres tomar la responsabilidad y no le importa nada el bienestar de otras personas o sus clientes. Supuestamente ustedes fueron gente responsables que viven con morales pero obviamente no es así, es sólo una acta, una gran mentira de aparecer como buenas personas cuando realmente ustedes son codiciosos.

Tus seguros y tus abogado me llamaron una vez nomas al principio a decir “Tener Paciencia” y me dijeron que me devolverían la llamada en una semana con solución al problema pero nunca me llamaron nadie; yo sabía desde el principio que Usted Señora Maria Augusta de Monteillet y tu equipo me estaban mintiendo por sus maneras de hablar vacilando y cambiando la historia. Tal vez fueron muy claros entre Ustedes que no querían pagar la cuenta, o tal vez te pagaron los seguros a ustedes y pusieron el dinero en el bolsillo que no me sorprendería, pero nadie fue claro en ninguna manera conmigo para resolver el problema grave causado por ustedes porque no llamaron nadie y no me contestaron nadie es todo este tiempo, ni una llamada y en 6 semanas!

Entonces ahora seré muy claro contigo Señora Maria Augusta de Monteillet, tus acciones y inacciones son injustos y inaceptables, ustedes carecen de la moralidad y la responsabilidad por sus acciones, aunque ustedes son completamente responsables y deben arreglar una mala situación que causaron.

Esto no es una equivocación o una mala asesoría de las personas allegadas Señora M. Augusta de Monteillet, en su prestigioso puesto de Gerente General de Chez Jerome/Hay Pan, tu eres responsable del bienestar de tus clientes y estás claramente y simplemente negando tu responsabilidad,...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this beautiful French restaurant in Quito, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the elegant ambiance — warm lighting, tasteful décor, and a welcoming atmosphere that made the evening feel special.

The service was excellent; the staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making great recommendations and ensuring everything was perfect throughout our meal.

For appetizers, we ordered the octopus and the classic French onion soup — both were cooked to perfection, with rich flavors and impeccable presentation. For the main course, we tried the filet mignon with pepper and langostino, which was tender, flavorful, and perfectly paired. We also had an outstanding Uruguayan beef dish (I forgot the exact name), but it was by far one of the best plates of meat I’ve ever tasted — juicy, well-seasoned, and unforgettable.

Dessert was just as impressive, rounding out the meal with a sweet and satisfying finish. Every course showcased the chef’s skill and attention to detail.
