This was a delightful experience and a wonderful way of visiting sights in Paris. I took very beautiful pictures because of the view and time of the trip.
This was my first time in Paris, and I used the night tour option, which left from about 8:15pm daily from Champs- Elysees. There is a bus station which is just a poll with the picture of the bus. It could be difficult to see properly at night so move slowly. You could purchase your tickets from different places, online, vendors or at the bus. I recommend buying at the bus. I bought my ticket from a very impatient vendor who rushed me to pay, and I was so confused I had made a purchase without getting information about the bus time, tour route, pickup location, and weather etc. After taking my payment he said go to Champs- Elysees and before 8:15pm and he handed me the bus tour leaflet. I was in so much shock, where was I, where is Champs- Elysees, how do I get there, and I had a couple of hours before the ride. (I did not know they had a different location for the night tour before I paid). Like any tourist I felt fear and a lot of confusion. I did not know how I could navigate myself to this different location. I could not wait outside because it was cold, and it started raining that evening. Finally, by the time I finally got to the bus stop, I missed the bus. It was not a great experience and I felt very down. I felt the money was lost. I emailed the contact details they shared online; I couldn’t call (they shared no number I could see online) I received an automated reply saying they will reply asap. This was Sunday and I was to leave Paris on Monday. I didn’t find information on their website on actions to take if the weather is bad or if you missed your bus what you could do to redeem your ticket etc. I took matters in my hand and walked to the bus attendant later that day and he let me on the bus. Imagine, I could have missed this interesting experience if I had not done this.
Finally, I must add the following: their website mentions ‘’fully flexible tickets’’, but if you don’t go online you would not know. No washroom on the bus. I don't know if they would stop, have loose change on you to pay to use the washrooms in stores, and don't drop your phone if you are on the top of the bus.
My feedback to BIGBUS, would be the following: Offer your guests napkins to clean the chairs especially when the seats are wet or dirty. Have your vendors on the street, share all the details and accurately before the visitors purchase the tickets.
Thank your for making this...
Read moreWe found this is a great way to get around to all the biggest tourist attractions in Paris. This is my first time in Paris and we are spending a week here and decided to get the "Paris Combo Night Tour and Explore Ticket", that includes a 2 hour night tour, a 1 hour boat cruise on the Seine and a 48 hour ticket to the hop on hop off buses. We took the Night Tour at 8:00pm on 29 Dec 2023, (Our first night here) and the boat Tour at 10am on the 30th, and we started the 48 hours bus ticket after the boat tour - and it went for a full 48 hours. The night tour was great, but it was a little confusing finding it at the start because the bus parked around the corner from where the stop was supposed to be, this was probably because they area around the Arc de Triomphe was already getting set up for the giant New Year's party. But the driver walked over and told everyone where to go. The night tour is amazing, but it is a full 2 hours with no stops, so make sure you go to the bathroom beforehand. Also it can be quite cold sitting on the top of the bus for that long, so dress warm (if it's winter). The boat tour was amazing as well. We showed up last minute and had no issues walking right on. There were separate lines to get on the boat, I'm assuming for people with pre-booked time slots, vs. Ticket without a specific time or no tickets. We don't speak much French but just showed our ticket to people working there and had no issues. And finally, the hop on hop off buses were fun, a great way to see the city, there are 10 stops on a route that is a loop, it takes about 2 hours to sit and do the full loop, if you get off at any stop to see the attraction, another bus comes every 7 to 15 minutes when you're ready to get back on and go to the next place. They don't stay at the stop very long (like less than a minute), so make sure you are standing at the stop waiting. But if you miss it the next one will come along shortly. If you are in Paris for only a couple days and it's your first time here I think this is a great way to make sure you see all the main sights. If you are in Paris for a few days or a week, or longer, I think this is a great way to start...
Read moreUpdate after response from the owner: It is inappropriate to say it is a '24 hour service during the "opening hours" '. The service starts from 9.45 until 17.45 h. Is that 24 hours in your calculation?. I bought the ticket around 14 h and it is valid on the same day only until 17.45 h. The next day, again from 9.45h until 14 h it is valid. This again is not 24 hours! You guys don't work at 18 h, 19 h, 20 h...23 h, 24 h.... and so on until the next day 9.45 h,. Simply speaking, you'll don't work for 24 hours but only 8 hours a day. I hope you understand how to calculate timings and hours. Please communicate appropriately. The way things are communicated is HIGHLY misleading. Please remember, it is several customers who had/have the same issue due to this sort of miscommunication, this way making big business! A staff who was in the street managed to sell the tickets to several passengers who were near the Effiel tower explaining the bus tickets are valid round the clock and that we may get on and off the bus at any stops in these 24 hours. Several passengers including me purchased the tickets assuming we could use their bus tour atleast until the late evening hours. We got into the bus at around 2 pm and got down immediately in 5 min at the next stop. After seeing places by foot we returned to the bus stop board the bus at 17.50 h. The drivers in the bus said the last service of the bus is at 17.45 and it is not a 24 hour service. We/I hardly used the bus. They now refuse to give us a refund, €55 per person! I don't think any tourist would purchase a €55 ticket just to get down from the bus in 5 min!
The website, customer support and the ticket vendors all provide different information about the timings of the bus service.
Calling their bus service is 24 hours is not true. The tourists are new to the place and always do not have the capacity to check the websites. They/we trust the advise of the staff when in full uniform holding an ID card but they seem to have good ways to make money by fooling people.
There were several passengers on this station with...
