We took an Uber to the meeting point address which turned out to be in another location. The boat was on the other side of the building on the lower floor past another boat. There was no signage to let us know where we needed to go. We eventually found the boat by chance by following another couple down some stairs and past some underground bars.
Once we found the boat and was seated it took a while for our waiter to take our order. It seemed like everyone around us were being served in no particular order so we were left waiting whilst everyone around us had their drinks and had ordered their food already. We had to ask for our order to be taken.
We had the seats by the window so the view was spectacular!
Once the food and drinks were ordered we began the cruise which took us along the Seine River with the view of the Eiffel Tower as it sparkled. There was live music and we were able to go up to the top deck for a clear view and to take pictures whenever we wanted.
The food was delicious!! I had the butternut squash soup, veal then the chocolate dessert. My boyfriend had the same but the scallops for the first course. I tried some and that was delicious too!!
Momo was our server and he was lovely.
Apart from the confusing meeting point and the long wait to order our food, it was such an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Paris.
If they make the meeting point clear with signage and made sure orders are taken promptly then the experience would...
Read moreBEWARE!!This review could have received 5 stars but the web site AND email confirmation sent us to the wrong place and the only reason for two star review is for the small attempt to fix this error. The email instructed us to be at Quai d’Austerliz boarding beginning at 7:30 with a 8:30 PM departure time. About 10-12 couples all received this wrong information. One person received a call @ 8:15 asking where were they but no one else did. We had all been attempting to call since 7:45 and only 3 couples waited long enough to get more answers. Finally, after many attempts, someone answered the phone and sent us to the actual Quai where the “Diamant Bleu” launched, however, the boat already left (it was now 9:00PM). The accommodation was for the lesser boat the “Theo” that was due to leave-giving us only 20 minutes to UBER there which we did and literally had to run across traffic lanes and down to the river to make it. The Cruise company did not offer to pay for the $40 UBER ride. Although the crew of the Theo were accommodating and the food was good, they gave us one free drink for our troubles. I wasn’t even going to bother w/a bad review because the lights of the Eiffel Tower enchanted us -but I see that the website is still incorrect. They haven’t bothered to fix it-someone needs to pay attention and take responsibility for their gross oversight because the crew of the Theo actually admitted the company knows and it has been wrong for over a month. THAT’S JUST...
Read moreMy wife and I booked the Seine River tour for 12/14/2023 to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary, paying €110.00 per person. We are from Brazil and traveled to France and this would be our first trip. We made a point of booking a tour that would pass by the Eiffel Tower, as it is my wife's dream. Our nightmare started upon boarding. When we entered, no one told us that that night the tour would not pass by the Eiffel Tower, we only found out about this at the end of the tour when we realized that the boat was already docking for disembarkation and we called the waiter who told us that due to the high level of the tide, the boat would not pass the Eiffel Tower. The same waiter asked us whether they had notified us upon boarding and we replied that no, we were aware at that time. The waiter tried to speak to the boat manager who offered us 2 glasses of champagne to compensate for our frustration, of course we refused. The service during the tour was not good, we were always the last to be served, getting to the point of having to call the waiter to be served after the tables next to us had already finished their dish. Summary, I don't recommend it to anyone and always ask at the entrance if the boat will pass by the Eiffel Tower, don't fall...
