Yann Couvreur — Attraction in Paris

I came to visit this afternoon with my friends and family this afternoon. I ordered a matcha latte. It came with 0 smell and when I took a sip, it tasted nothing like matcha or even milk. Then I thought oh, maybe their matcha didn't suit my taste; but after the milk foam was gone, I can clearly see that something wasn't right with my drink (as you can see, the milk is separating and sank down in the bottom). I politely asked the barista if he thinks that my drink is normal, he looked kinda surprised and immediately checked their milk in the fridge. Then he proceeded to tell me that nothing is wrong, he can make me a new one but it would come out the same. I wasn't happy with the answer so I asked for the second time, pointing at the milk that has separated, he just repeated the same answer. So again, I asked another employer who gave me the same answer. So then, I started taking pictures and video of my drink and I can hear the staffs say "she (me) took a photo" in french. I speak french, I can understand what they are saying. When I was about to leave, the staff didn't let me throw out my unfinished matcha to the trash (I know they need to inspect it). She asked me if I want another drink which I politely declined. No sorry, no nothing. I was offered the same drink 3 times. I didn't like the first order, why would I accept a second one? Very...

I went visiting twice when in Paris - I think this can explain how much I love this place. (You may wanna try as many cafe/bakery as possible as a tourist)

First time, I bought some cakes for new year eve party; second time, I went myself and had a chocolate eclair and a cup of chai latte. I should say this is the best eclair in town! Also, as a big fan of chai latte, their chai latte is AMAZING, healing my whole night 🥰

The only thing I would like to comment is that the logistics in the store is a bit confusing - no clear route to queue up for ordering. Some customers picked their desserts at the first counter, while some packed at the second counter... so I waited for a bit long time to order although I was the first one ready to make an order... I've been to this bakery at least on 3 separate visits to Paris. The pain au chocolate, the citrus dessert and the hazelnut cookies were delicious. However, on my last visit which was on November 25, 2024, I saw something that definitely ruined my appetite. I want their management to notice this review because there were WOOD FLIES in their glass case, specifically where they keep their lemon and other loafs. I didn't even want to take a picture because to be honest i didn't want to keep this in my camera roll. I'm not sure whether this is because they need to replace their wood boards or because they don't clean them off well.
