This museum is full of wonders. It collects items 900 years old original, family members explain clearly of its history, the use of each levels (8 levels in total). Ladder climbing is not difficult but with care which is built much safer than the tower I climbed before (another watch tower climbing ladder, last level last step almost needs a Tom Cruise jump “upwards” before reaching the top 😵‍💫). So I find this house museum watch tower worth a million to visit. I very much like it. Also my whole 37 days trip to Georgia and Armenia is almost for enjoying Mestia / Svaneti watch towers old architecture and Mestia->Usguli 4 days hiking. So I am feeling very satisfied now. Thanks for this kind family who is very adorable to welcome visitors.

A must do in mestia a beautiful family with 900 years of history behind them ,see authentic artifacts and tools and wine and food making practices let Spartak Nana and of course the beautiful Maria walk you throughout the multiple levels of real svantian history, the best experience I've had in mestia

Very well preserved Svan tower with a living building. You can climb up the tower for an awesome view. Very unique experience. Spartak and his family were very welcoming and friendly. Spartak’s daughter did an excellent job giving us a guided tour in English. Recommend!

This is a tower that you must visit in Svanetia, as it is not only an architectural masterpiece but also an important part of the local culture. The head of the family will gladly share stories about the traditions and life of this region. A friendly family will welcome you like one of their own, and you will feel the warmth of their hospitality. Be sure to get to the top of the tower — from there, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the majestic mountains and green valleys.

The artwork in the photo was created by Mari, the daughter. She can tell you the history of the tower in English. The owner of the house, Spartak, speaks Russian, so foreign guests will not face any language barriers.🙏❤️

This place is filled with the spirit of history and beauty, and it will remain in your heart...

We had a wonderful experience at the Niguriani Tower museum! The owner shared the fascinating history of the tower, adding an extra layer to our visit. Using Google Translate to translate from Georgian to Swedish meant we didn’t miss out on any part of this intriguing story. The tower, extending five stories high, greatly impressed us with its architecture and views. After the tour, the owner kindly offered us locally made tea, a gesture that we truly appreciated and added to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend a visit for anyone interested in delving deep into the region's culture...
