This was kind of a hidden gem in Rothenburg odT. It's off the beaten path, or maybe I should say down a very steep path. And then of course back UP the same path. For anyone not up to the walk I believe it's accessible by car, but I didn't observe any parking. Can't say for sure.
Anyway, the lady who greeted me at the door is one of the owners. She collected €3.50 from me ... not sure if you can buy advance tickets.
She told me her dad renovated it in 1978, and it's in great condition. This was the vacation house of Heinrich Toppler, who was the mayor back in the 1300s. Lots of folklore around this man, and there's an impressive monument to him in the park back up the hill.
