STAY Gastropub Rhodes — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

It was our last day in Rhodes, and it was a Sunday, so the supermarkets were closed, so we decided to eat breakfast out. I had seen some good reviews, and it was near the beach, so we headed there to try it out. The restaurant area was somewhat busy but nothing major. We sat ourselves down and waited about 10-15 minutes until a waitress gave us a menu (you can scan QR codes for the menus also - which is what I done as it was taking so long). We then waited another 20 minutes until our order was taken and our drinks came out about 20 minutes after. Our breakfasts were finally brought out (American pancakes with maple syrup and blueberries) about 15 minutes after the drinks, and whilst it looked lovely and tasted delicious, the pancakes were cold. We didn't send them back because we wanted to actually spend some time at the beach on our last day. We went inside to pay and the waitress did apologise for the delays. It seemed there was about 3 members of staff dealing with the restaurant and the front desk of the hotel - perhaps some more...

Nice and relaxed spot with a great shaded terrace, just a short walk from the beach. I had a sandwich which was fresh and tasty, and the staff was polite and quick. Drinks like Coca-Cola are served with ice by default, so let the staff know if you prefer without. Breakfast is served until 11:30, so if you come later, some items like sandwiches may not be available. They offer a good variety of breakfast, lunch and cocktails, with daily specials like Mojito Wednesdays or Wine Saturdays. Prices are fair for the location, and the happy hour gives it extra value. We visited the restaurant because of the good reviews. Unfortunately, we can't share the experience of others, the drinks came 25 minutes after ordering because the waiter was obviously talking to other guests who came from the hotel. The food itself was fantastic, good value for money. We were not asked if we would like to order more drinks or a dessert, instead the bill was placed on the table without a word while we were eating the main courses. I don't care if there's a system behind it, it's just inappropriate. No music, bad atmosphere. It's better to go to another restaurant where you won't be treated...
