Remvi Restaurant offers an exceptional dining experience that perfectly captures the essence of Greek hospitality and cuisine. During my visit, I was thoroughly impressed by both the culinary offerings and the breathtaking ambiance. Restaurant offers perfect value to quality offered - worth considering to pay a little more than average prices offered locally… Recommended dishes: Grilled octopus, fresh fish of the day, traditional moussaka Best time to visit: Early evening for sunset views but reservation is highly recommended, especially during peak season.
Atmosphere & Location The restaurant boasts a prime location with spectacular views of the Aegean Sea and the iconic Santorini sunset. The traditional Cycladic architecture, with its whitewashed walls and blue accents, creates an authentic Greek island atmosphere. The outdoor terrace provides the perfect setting for a romantic dinner or a memorable meal with friends and family.
The menu at Remvi showcases the best of Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on fresh, local ingredients. The seafood selection is particularly outstanding - grilled octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the fresh catch of the day was prepared with simple yet elegant flavors that allowed the quality of the fish to shine through. The traditional Greek dishes are executed with care and authenticity. Especially moussaka was rich and flavorful, and the Greek salad featured the ripest tomatoes and creamiest feta cheese. The portions are generous, and the presentation is both rustic and appealing.
Friendly staff at Remvi are attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were happy to provide recommendations and accommodate dietary preferences. The service strikes a nice balance between being professional and maintaining the relaxed, friendly atmosphere that makes Greek dining so enjoyable.
While not the cheapest option on the island, Remvi offers good value considering the quality of food, service, and the prime location. The pricing is in line with other upscale restaurants in Santorini’s tourist areas but in my opinion it’s worth to pay a little more for a top quality you receive.
The restaurant can get quite busy during sunset hours, so reservations are highly recommended. The popularity sometimes leads to slightly longer wait times between courses, though the stunning views make any wait bearable. Whether you’re looking for a special occasion dinner or simply want to enjoy authentic flavors while watching the famous Santorini sunset, this restaurant delivers a...
Read moreWe were very lucky to visit Santorini when it was quiet and have a lot of the island to ourselves. It was a unique experience.||These apartments were full though which shows how popular it is.||The place is really all about the view, not a lot else matters but I’ll cover a few points which may be important to others.||The location is perfect. It’s on the cliff overlooking the volcano and has the most breathtaking views imaginable. Every balcony offers unbelievable views. It’s heaven on earth. Genuinely. It’s also only a ten minute walk to central Fira which is the best “city” to stay on the Island. ||The on site restaurant is some of the best food I have ever eaten and although some people say Santorini is expensive - I didn’t believe it was. The meals were first class and worth every penny. Wonderful sun set views whilst sipping a beer is a memory which will stay with me forever.||I will pick it a few points which weren’t really important in the grand scheme of things but may be to you.||I believe we had the best room. 102. To call the room we had a superior suite is a bit of stretch. It was small, with a bed very close to the floor and a tiny sofa. The WiFi didn’t work. None of these things really bothered us as we got a great price due to the worldwide situation but worth mentioning as you may be visiting when prices are a lot higher. I do believe most apartments and hotels on the caldera (cliff edge) are smaller though so it’s to be expected. ||We would have loved a pool as it was boiling as we saw some caldera hotels with them but with only 3 days in Santorini we had plenty of other ways to spend our time.||We had breakfast included in our rate which is served on site. The breakfast was poor. It was just slices of in toasted bread and some (I suspect) shop bought pastries. Other travellers looked unimpressed by this as well. But the views are cracking and it it’s just a quick cup of tea coffee you want then you’ll be happy enough.||If you’re here for a few days then this place will be brilliant for you. If it’s a week you’re here then you may just want that pool and larger room.||In the pictures attached you’ll see the room was decorated it was our honeymoon - this was an additional cost and does not...
Read moreI went to Remvi restaurant on a Thursday. I got lucky (maybe) by calling in on Tuesday. The person who answered was very short denying my request for any reservations. Maybe it was a language barrier/ miscommunication. I got put on hold and a nicer man came to phone. I requested reservation again and he kindly said yes it was available and accommodate my time. Once arriving the view is very very nice. I went during sunset. The waiter was very nice. The food was maybe a 4 out of 5. Ordered some fried cheese appetizer. It was good. Fried cheese is good. Two drinks a Cuba libre and a mojito. Both were adequate. We also ordered a side of bread. Next we ordered the grilled salmon and a pasta with mushrooms. The salmon was good and the pasta was very good as well. Believe it was called Remvi pasta? Can't recall. While eating we asked for a suggestion on a bottle of wine. They brought it over and we enjoyed it. Desert was caldera ice cream. It was good as well. I also ordered a double espresso. Food was maybe a 4/5 View was a 5/5 or better. Now the bad thing that put a bit of a awkwardness and wierd vibe to dinner was when another couple was seated. They came in sat down and ordered their items. To sit in the area we sat in you need a reservation. Well the person who was very short and unappealing on the phone came up to them and started I would say harassing them about not having reservations. He told them the name for the reservation and she goes to check again. By this time they already had drinks, I think an appetizer and most importantly there was still open tables and no one to be seated. This lady comes back and says it's reservation only and his name is not on the book. Props to the gentlemen he remained calm and said look I called in a few days ago, I personally came to verify that I was on the book, bring it to me and I will show you. So the lady brings the book and sure enough he points his name out. Which was the name he had been giving her the whole time. She walks away and continues with the same routine on another couple a few tables away. Aside from this it was a decent place. Go for the view, the food is acceptable, be careful...
