The restaurant is like MUMBAI LOCAL i.e. you have to go in it whether it is crowded or there is no space to enter in it , whether you like it or dislike it. The customers come because this is the most convenient hotel just opposite the Dadar Central Railway Station. The hotel has sufficient place for accommodating the constant flow of customers which are mostly Railway passengers. However the management has no time or no interest for doing the same as already there is good business without any efforts. The name is prominently displyed in the language of the state Maharashtra however it misses the Maharashtrian culture to welcome the guests and serve them efficiently and with love and affection. The food is of reasonable quality with average taste but the serving staff are the least bothered about the customers. The waiters need to be changed or required to be monitored properly as they are least bothered about the customers. Even serving of water to the new customer takes 10 to 15 minutes. I would suggest that:- Snacks and Tea counter should be bifurcated from Lunch counter as those customers who are in hurry and do not have sufficient time to eat meals and as such eat snacks with Tea or Coffee or Cold Drink can get prompt service. 2.A Floor Manager should be engaged to guide the customers properly for seating arrangement as well as monitoring the waiters for giving prompt service. 3.The quality of food should be improved. With these things the hotel would do roaring business with full customer...
Read moreSTAY AWAY from this place as it deserves negative rating. The location of the is very good as it is visible the moment you exit Dadar Central Railway station's main entrance. The first thing I noticed about the place was that the place was littered with tissue papers. Normally I have noticed that the restaurants in Mumbai are regularly swept and maintained clean but this place was an exception. The service was so slow that our waiter passed our table almost 3-4 times without bothering to take the order. After waiting for 10 minutes, I had to tell him to bring water. Finally after 15 minutes of waiting the great waiter arrived to take our order. We had ordered Pav Bhajis which took more 10 minutes to be served and I was expecting it to be good as it was freshly made. When we tasted it, the Pav Bhajis were sour and had a bad smell. When this was told to the waiter, he gave the standard stupid answer that other people had it and they didn't complained about it. We did not dare to eat the Bhaaji and only ate the small pavs. The place is PATHETIC. The hygiene and food is worse than street food. I would recommend starving or eating from roadside thela instead of this pathetic refreshment. DO NOT get fooled by their neon sign...
Read moreVisited on 23 February around 7:30am. For breakfast me and my wife thought to order batata Vada and veg sandwich from Menu. It was not available - for veg. Sandwich as bread would be available after 10am hence it was not available and there was no reason for batata Vada being not available. We then ordered misal pav and Mysore sada dosa. Misal pav was served as lot of farsan with little of misal over it which totally takes away the purpose of eating sprouts. Mysore sada dosa was served with delay of 20 mins as they were preparing the Mysore chutney. When tasted we regretted our first and only visit to this restaurant. Other than delay of food getting served which we understand due to short staff as informed by waiter but not so tasty food should not take away the blame. Only good thing about this restaurant is that they accept credit card if that is positive you are looking for.
If you are near to this restaurant and looking for alternative I would suggest to go to other side of bridge(West) and head to Shagun restaurant which is open atleast at 7:30am and they do serve yummy Mysore sada dosa. They do not serve Misal pav and they do accept...
