This is one of the most popular non-vegetarian family restaurants in Dadar that I perfer primarily after stepping out of Dadar railway station. Most of the time, this place is overcrowded especially during meal and peak hours even during weekdays, thus creating accommodation issues, reasonable amount of table sharing leading to privacy issues and ruining dining experience, lots of background noises leading to disturbance due to lack of privacy, long and delayed ordering times. Talking about quality of service, it's fair enough considering the bill amount charged to the customer. Don't be expecting a VIP treatment from the waiters as most probably they would ignore you since this restaurant is mainly meant for middle and lower-middle class target audience. At times, it might take several moments to readying/processing your order and delivering your order at your table. I case you are in an urgency, i strongly recommend you to prefer take-aways or else, make sure you have long enough time to dine-in. Interior and ambiance of this restaurant is bland (needs lot of improvement/renovation) and typical basic laminated furniture would rather become uncomfortable for long dining sessions. Quantity of food served is very delicious and mouth watering inclusive of it's unique taste/flavour it offers and worth the cost paid for the respective menu item which makes it value for money, but quality and nutrition value is mediocre though. But, that's something I can generally expect from this type of restaurant. I strongly recommend the new customers to first try their dry items such as Tandooris, Tikks, Kebabs, Biryanis, Dry Gravies, etc. for complete satisfaction. Please avoid ordering their Chinese menu items except soups as their quality is underwhelming and taste is...
Read moreWe entered the restaurant at 12:30. There wes a big crowd over here. We had to wait for some time. And then we got a seat. We took our luggages with us to the seat. And kept the luggage beside the table. But then they told that we can't take our luggages with us to table and kept our bags outside. We were scared that if someone steals our luggages, we would lose all the documents. But. The staff Guaranteed us that no-one would take the luggages. So we also cooled down. And then we started looking for someone who would take the order. But after searching, calling and shouting there wes no one to take order from us 😭. We were seriously starving. Then atlast as our hard work paid off and we got a person who would take the order from us 🤩. We ordered a chicken biryani. We were waiting for our order to come but there there was no sign of our order. To my shock I found out that they were serving to those customers who had already got there orders or who used to come frequently. But atlast our order came after 2 hrs of waiting time. The taste of the food was ok. They also gave us raita but the raita didn't have curd in it the raita was fully made up of curd water. Overall the food was ok. The service was horrible 😤. The atmosphere was not good. The seating area was worst. There was no space to walk or sit. We had to squeeze our legs into the...

Shapoor Restaurant – Dadar East, Mumbai
Located just a short walk from Dadar Railway Station (East), Shapoor Restaurant is a no-frills, casual dining spot offering a mix of North Indian, Chinese, and Mughlai cuisine.
What I Liked:
Convenient Location: Right near Dadar East station—ideal for a quick meal or casual dine-in before/after your commute.
Variety of Cuisine: A good mix of North Indian and Chinese. I tried their Butter Chicken and found it flavorful and well-prepared.
Affordable Pricing: Budget-friendly rates make it great for everyday meals.
Prompt Service: Even during busy hours, food was served without long delays.
What Could Be Better:
Ambiance: Clean but very basic. Don’t expect a fancy setting—more functional than aesthetic.
Small Portions for Extras: Items like extra sambar with Udid Wada felt limited.
Some Inconsistencies (as per reviews): While my experience was smooth, online reviews mention occasional issues like undercooked rice or delayed service.
Overall:
If you’re looking for a quick, filling, and affordable meal near Dadar, Shapoor is a solid choice. It’s not a place for ambiance lovers or fine dining seekers, but it gets the job done for everyday comfort food.
Recommended for: Office-goers, travelers, and locals looking for...
