I would suggest that they improve their service standards. Me and my husband got a couple ritual done with 80 mins massage and 30 Minutes facial. I got the appointment very quickly which was highly appreciated but when i entered the room and sat for foot scrub, the floor had all oil marks from previous therapy. It wasn’t clean also the water of the foot scrub was cold it should be lukewarm at least. While the massage was going on we heard very loud Cart movement which startled us it was very loud we thought we got hit by something on the roof. The therapists left the room multiple times and every time they opened the door, there was a water body right outside but the water pressure on that sounds like heavy rainfall. We actually thought it had started to rain heavily and we could hear heavy noises. On top of that they had no product to apply on my face as i had a sensitive skin at the time of which i informed them, to which there was no clear answer at the reception and since we had shortage of time i didn’t bother much, thinking its a 5 star property i shouldn’t worry about products i am sure they have done thorough check but to my surprise she started massaging my skin with oily products which is worst for my skin because of pimples and rubbing all the make up in the pores before even cleaning it properly. To which i had to stop her to find out that they don’t have anything else that will suit my skin type which shocking to me in such a property such a thing could happen. Then there was no warm water in the shower!! I mean it was just not a right spa experience. They still charged us and i was ok to pay but this kind of stuff needs to be well looked into immediately by the hotel Melia. This creates very bad reputation. I was quite...
Read moreI get spa treatments on a weekly basis and unfortunately Yhi Spa was very lacking in many areas. The first issue was that the reception failed to adequately explain the package offered to us. We (couple) found out just before entering the room that the service booked was shorter than what we wanted. They were flexible to amend the service to provide a longer service but it could have been avoided by better explanation up front. Entering the massage room, we were surprised to see oily footprints on the floor as most spas do a better job of cleaning up after the previous guest. We sat down on a bench and they placed our feet into a bowl of less than room temperature water. The best spas would have warmed the water first. Then onto the massage beds. They were very comfortable beds. But the masseuse had to leave the room a few times during the treatment and the sound of the water fountain outside was super loud and disturbed the relaxation. Even average spas keep all treatment items inside the room to avoid the disturbance of opening the door. In an 80 minute massage, the masseuse was unable to complete the full body and left some areas like hands and feet unattended. Next, we had a 30 minute facial. They did t have any non-oil based creams, which was odd given such a large expensive spa. They should keep some non oil options for those with sensitivity. The tea...
Read moreHad a massage session with my partner this afternoon. We arrived 30 mins earlier for the massage session as requested for a session in the jacuzzi. This is the first step to a relaxing 50mins traditional balinese massage session. Price is a bit steep vs spas at the fringe of Nusa Dua but the facilities are a class or 2 above. We started off with a foot scrub/wash and followed by the massage session. It was really good with very strong hands and arms. Felt real good after the session. Was ushered to the garden for a warm lemongrass drink before parting. I guess the only qualm which I had was the seating at the garden. Was initially separated from my partner given lack of seats. Was very unexpected as we were made to wait till the other guests left.
If not for the booboo, it would have been an excellent experience. Staff and massueses...
