We had a family lunch here, and honestly, this place deserves a better rating than it gets on Google. I would give it a solid 4.7. It’s fair to say it’s not the cheapest option, but the quality makes it absolutely worth it.
Food: Every dish we tried was excellent—both during our first visit and the second. I had the yellowfin tuna crudo as a starter, followed by chicken. Second visit just Basque-style grilled barramundi fillet. All three were fantastic, but the biggest surprise for me was how good the chicken curry was. My wife went for the sushi moriawase and nasi goreng, both of which she really enjoyed. On the second day, my son repeated the nasi goreng (his favorite) and also had sushi moriawase, while my daughter stuck with her tempura shrimp sushi. It’s slightly spicy by default, but they happily prepared a milder version without hot mayonnaise, which she loved.
Service: The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive without being intrusive. Getting their attention was easy, and any issues were handled smoothly—once a dish mix-up happened, and it was replaced immediately without fuss. Food was served quickly, well-prepared, and nicely presented.
Drinks & Cocktails: The drinks are as high in quality as the food. The cocktails were excellent on our first visit, and the beers we ordered the second time came perfectly cold and refreshing.
Cleanliness & Atmosphere: The restaurant is spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting outside, where the ocean breeze made it even more relaxing.
Summary: This is definitely one of the best dining options in the area, and we ended up coming back twice during our stay. The food, drinks, and service are consistently great. The only downside is that prices are on the higher side, which makes the value-for-money ratio a little challenging—but in terms of quality, it’s well worth it.
Overall, I’d say this place deserves closer to 4.7 stars rather than the 4.5 it currently...
Read moreVisited on August 31st for a last-minute dinner (reservation made through the Marriott Bonvoy app). We had originally planned to dine during our tour, but after cutting it short due to issues with the guide/driver, we returned to the resort upset and hungry. While on the ride back, we communicated with the hotel via the Marriott Bonvoy app messaging feature and asked if they could arrange a reservation at the restaurant with a view if possible. They came through and saved us one of the best beachfront tables.
The service at Arwana was outstanding—staff were friendly, kind, funny, and incredibly attentive. They went out of their way to personalize our experience. For example, we asked if the nigiri appetizer could be cut in half so we could share more easily, and the chef went above and beyond by creating mini versions of each piece. Such a thoughtful touch that made our night!
Every dish was delicious, and the standout was the award-winning Karangasem cocktail—so phenomenal that we each ordered a second round. To make the evening even more special, the staff surprised us with a belated birthday celebration, complete with drumming, singing, and a beautifully plated dessert. Since my birthday had been the week prior, it was an especially meaningful gesture. They even joined us for a photo, which remains one of my favorite memories from the trip.
This dinner was truly one of the highlights of our stay at The Laguna. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and most of all, the genuine care from the staff made it...
Read moreWe had the pleasure of dining at Armawa, right by the beach at The Laguna in Nusa Dua, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The setting is breathtaking – imagine dining with your feet almost in the sand, ocean breeze in your hair, and the sound of the waves in the background. Pure magic.
The food was incredible – beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. Every dish we tried was a standout, perfectly blending local Balinese flavors with international finesse.
What really elevated the experience was the vibe – relaxed yet refined, perfect for a romantic evening or a chill night with friends. The ambiance, lighting, and music all came together to create the kind of atmosphere you don’t want to leave.
A special shout-out to Sukadana, our server for the evening. His service was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. He made sure everything was perfect from start to finish, with just the right balance of professionalism and friendly charm.
