If you’re seeking a stunning resort boasting two large pools, beach access, five restaurants, and charming rooms with balconies or pool access, give @meliabali a try. We stayed in a junior suite with pool access and had the best time! The room was spacious and well-equipped. We also had the chance to dine at Sakura Japanese and Sateria Beachfront restaurants, both offering incredible food and a delightful atmosphere. Overall, our experience at Meliá was unforgettable, making our stay in Malia truly exceptional / ad #meliabali #soulmatters #onlyinmelia #bali #balihotel #balihotels #hotelsinbali #nusadua #hotelsandresorts #visitbali #besthotels #staycation #luxurytravel #beautifulhotels #balitravel #luxuryhotel #vacationtime #baliholiday #balilove #beachresort #hotellife #beautifuldestinations #balidiares Where to stay in Bali, Bali hotel, Bali travel guide, Bali guide, travel Bali

My wife and I stayed in the Melia Hotel during Pandemic Covid19 on a long weekend, 28-31 Oct 2020. We did breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost every day at Sateria Restaurant. The ambiance is stunningly beautiful and very relaxing on the beachside seeing the waves in an outdoor setting, which we prefer the deck seating for dining when the sun is not too hot, while at dinner time is a peacefully romantic. The restaurant provides excellent and quality food with varieties of the menu for our three-day stay. Due to the pandemic protocol, breakfast is served in a set of choices that is more efficient and fulfilling to our need for a healthy and hearty breakfast. We had light lunches of salads, and we like the traditional Balinese Lawar with fried prawns. The pizza and topping choices are delicious as we chose the variety of cheese and veggies. The organic striploin is best for dinner, not too big but not too small, accompanied by wine, that although with the limitations due to very low visitors still provide enough variety of choices. The dessert is in the right varieties and delicious. The employees are amiable and hospitable, notably Dewa Ardita, the Restaurant Manager who sets aside time to chat with each table beside his busy activities serving the guests and reserving us the best table for dinner at the deck. All of them are wearing a mask, screen cover, and gloves for the healthy protocol. We noticed some guests at dinner time are from neighboring hotels, which shows the ambiance provided is unique. At lunchtime, the place is enjoyed by families with young kids due to it between the big pool, kids club, and wide, shallow beach. Overall, the restaurant provides a stunningly relaxing and romantic atmosphere in outdoor settings, a good variety of food even during this challenging time, and the employees are helpful and friendly.

An unfortunate choice for us to spend our dinner, sadly. Service took forever. “Cesar salad” was only vaguely reminiscent of a Cesar salad, using the most broad interpretation of both “Cesar” and “salad”. A small amount of lettuce, a (decent, actually) portion of chicken, and then “bacon” (which was completely, 100% flavorless…was not worth a single calorie out of a day’s quota), and finally, “croutons”….aka a slice of bread that someone put in the toaster yesterday or the day before, left out to become completely stale and no longer crunchy, with no seasonings or flavor of any kind. Kind of like what you might come up with if you had never heard of a crouton before, someone asked you to make one and you read online that it’s cubed, toasted bread? Not worth any amount of $. The spaghetti bolognese was decent enough to eat. I think the price was around $10 USD so more than if we found food on the street and less than most other places in the resort area. Vibe, generally, is nice, of course, which was this place’s one redeeming quality …it’s a beachfront restaurant with fantastic views and a great breeze. But the food is so, so blah.

Tldr: Great food, great vibes, expensive. 9/10

Had an amazing time at Sateria, a lot of it is thanks to our server Aris, he is a bundle of energy and made sure we had a great time!

Food and beverages : Cocktail - We ordered Melia Colada (their twist on Pina Colada) and Sateria Bramble for our cocktails. Both are so refreshing. 10/10 Juice - Watermelon Cooler, watermelon + ginger + lemon + mint. The bitter aftertaste is very refreshing as well. 10/10 Pizza - Aglio E Fromaggio, which is a Garlic confit + mozzarella + grana padano pizza. The pizza dough is basically perfect, good tiger spotting on the bottom and the crust is airy and light, with good flavor. The topping is garlicky for sure, but its not too pungent and complements the sharpness of grana padano nicely. The mozzarella provides the classic cheese pizza texture. 9/10 Gelato - The mango gelato I'm not sure if it's sorbet or Gelato, the texture is kinda in between but it definitely has real mangoes inside, I caught some of the mango 'strings' in it. The salted caramel is very smooth and have a good mouthfeel, the saltiness is not overpowering and overall very good. 9/10 Overall Food 9/10

Venue, atmosphere, service : Venue - right next to the nusa dua beach, we came at night and it had cool ocean breeze, not hot at all. Decor and lighting is on point, very romantic for me and partner, but also welcoming for children and families. Mosquitoes are present but the staff provided mosquitoe repellent and from my experience they weren't much of a problem. 10/10 Atmosphere - we came at Latino night, they were playing Latino live music and live salsa dance performances. The performers also pulled in guests (including children's which are very cute) to dance salsa with them and also provided romantic dance opportunity for the guests. Very festive and memorable, one of the highlights of my trip to Bali. 10/10 Service - our server Aris has been delightful and made our experience very enjoyable. He checked in on us regularly to make sure we're enjoying ourselves. He has a great personality and very accommodating to us. 10/10

Value: Its a 5 star hotel restaurant and it's not gonna be cheap. But it is not unreasonably expensive, and considering the food, service, and atmosphere, it is 100% worth your money and if you have the chance, please come and experience it. But the price listed on the menu is excluding tax and service charge, so please take note on that when you order. 6/10

Overall, had a wonderful time here and will...

Very disappointing experience. I came here for a dinner with my husband in a hope of getting nice dinner by the beach while we were strolling around the nice area. Where do I start...well the staff was not very attentive, we had to look and wait around to ask for thing. We had calamary and octopus ceviche for starter and lamb loin for main course. Nothing so special with the ceviche but I must say the calamary was quite good. The main course took really long time after we finished our appetizers and when it came, the portion was ridicolously small for something that cost almost 500k and the taste (even was not bad) was below expectation to be honest(my husband said it was too dry for him). I shall also mention that during our time on the table,we saw a mouse coming accross in front of our table (from the restaurant side to the deck side) which was making me speachless since earlier when we just sat down there was a bug that flew on to our table (which I think unavoidable, but a mouse...is it unavoidable?? I dont know). And when the bill come we got even more dissapointed to see the total and left the restaurant still hungry after paying more than 1mill rupiah...
