Last week, my family experienced one of the most memorable trips, thanks to the warm hospitality at Club Med Bali. Before we went, friends warned us that spending 10 days just inside Club Med without exploring Bali’s attractions might be boring. But as it turned out, 10 days wasn’t nearly enough to enjoy everything Club Med had to offer.|Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Hiroko from the reception team. She quickly shared helpful information and kindly led us to The Deck for a late lunch, knowing we were very hungry after the long wait at airport immigration. Apple, another friendly GO from the front desk, was always ready to assist us whenever we approached her.|The resort itself is stunning—and so is the GO team. A vast grassy field dotted with trees provides a shaded, safe space where kids can freely play games or simply run around.|The main bar is strategically located next to the swimming pool and the theater, and just a short walk from the beach. It quickly became our favorite hangout spot each day, offering kid-friendly drinks and some of the best cocktails we’ve ever had—especially the Cintamani and Gili Island. Being near the beach, the bar is also pleasantly breezy. The combination of the view, ambiance, and drinks created the perfect recipe to wash away years of accumulated stress. The bartenders were incredibly friendly, especially Sai, who became close friends with my eldest. We felt perfectly comfortable allowing our two boys (11 and 4 years old) to order their own drinks at the bar.|Club Med offers a wide range of sports activities. We particularly enjoyed archery and badminton. Julius (Jul) and Victoria, the GOs at the archery range, were excellent instructors. They patiently shared tips that helped us pick up the sport as first-timers, making for a truly memorable family bonding experience. Jul also grew very close with my eldest—he often joined us for lunch and dinner, helping us understand Club Med Bali and the broader Club Med culture. My eldest even partied with him and other GOs nearly every night.|Both of my boys loved the activities organized by the amazing family GOs, Tarryn and Carol. Their energy was infectious—super friendly and playful. The family cooking class and mixology class (for cocktail and mocktails) were definite highlights. My eldest especially enjoyed the hands-on experience of preparing curry and creating the Fruit Punch drink.|Club Med Bali also has an excursion team that arranges affordable transportation to visit local attractions. Vivian from the team was extremely friendly and helpful. She organized our half-day trip to Ubud and kindly communicated with my parents in Mandarin, making it easier for them to understand the resort’s facilities and activities. She even helped us take many lovely family photos.|Winnie, another kind GO from the excursion team, joined us for lunch and dinner after my parents and sisters—who were on a shorter trip—had left. Her warm company helped ease the sense of emptiness we felt, especially since the kids had gotten so used to enjoying meals with a big family group.|The nightly theater shows were another major highlight of our stay at Club Med Bali. The circus team was simply outstanding, delivering stunning performances that left us in awe. It was clear that every show was the result of countless hours of practice and preparation by the event and circus teams. I was clapping so hard every night, I nearly gave myself a bruise—hahaha!|After each show, Houcem, the Chief of Village, would lead us to the main bar or beach bar for the after-show party. Our stay was truly elevated by Houcem’s personal touches throughout the resort. He was constantly present—greeting guests and checking in with us at the main restaurant, the bar, the sports center… pretty much everywhere except inside our room. His warm hospitality, along with that of his GO team, made us feel right at home—as if we were living in our own vibrant community.|It was bittersweet when our 10-day stay came to an end. But as we always say, this isn’t “goodbye”—just “see you again soon.” We truly can’t wait to return to Club Med, especially Club Med Bali.|Once again, thank you so much, Houcem, and to all the amazing and friendly GOs who made our trip...
Read moreOverall we had a lovely time. |Good things- All activities, food, drinks are included in the price. Out departing flight was at 9.25pm, they kindly gave us a late checkout for AUD 18 per hour which was really great. We were able to relax on that day and had the opportunity to get to the airport feeling relaxed. All food, beverages, activities are included until we depart which is really great and that made us appreciate Cub Med more. The food quality was good and had a good variety .|Now going through few down sides- The hotel is quite aged and the room we got was quite old and had mould in the shower cubicle.|Secondly, regarding the special dinners — the poolside dinner on Tuesday and the garden dinner on Friday — we had looked forward to these as highlights of our stay. However, the entertainment at the poolside dinner was very minimal. Dinner began around 6:45pm, yet across the entire evening there was only about 10-15 minutes of acrobatic performance: a short 5-minute show around 7:45pm, followed by another brief segment half an hour later. The rest of the evening consisted only of background singing. Given the elaborate poolside setup, this felt underwhelming and did not match the level of entertainment we had experienced at Club Med Bintan Island, where the evening show continued throughout dinner and created a much livelier atmosphere. |The other thing is during the special dinner events, they reserve tables for people who order "premium food and premium wine". As a family who does not drink alcohol and prefers to enjoy the extensive buffet, this arrangement felt unnecessarily exclusionary. It is not right to be penalised for not ordering "Premium Wine and Premium food" when we want to enjoy what was already being offered. This was one of the things that really annoyed us. But in the end it did not matter where we sat, as there was hardly any entertainment at all. I think everyone should be given the opportunity to reserve a table regardless of "Premium wine/Premium food" at a cost if the guest needs. (Happy to pay and reserve the table), however should not be discriminated based on whether you buy "Premium food or Premium wine", since we all pay a lot of money to stay at Club Med. Because does that mean the other food and drinks you offer the guests are not "premium"? It is good to have that option, however you should not penalise or discriminate the guests who do not want to order extra food/alcohol.|Just before coming to Club Med Bali, we were at Ayana resort and spa at Jimbaran and they treated us so well when we went to restaurants and no discrimination at all. We were always offered the table we preferred depending on their availability at that time, and felt very much appreciated and valued as compared to Club Med.|We did a family photo shoot. The photographer was very kind. However the photos were not at all nice looking. I was hoping for a more polished, professional finish, but unfortunately the photos did not really reflect that. They did not appear to be edited, and the overall quality was way below what we expected. My husband took beautiful photos from his Samsung phone camera and I did not want to pay AUD 200 for the Club Med photographer's photos. I did a photoshoot at Club Med at Bintan Island last year and the photographer did a lovely job.|Club Med at Bintan island made me book club med again and we booked Club Med BalI. Would i book Club Med again after staying at Club Med Bali- I think the late checkout really made me appreciate Club Med, however kindly consider and change how you treat guests if they do not want to order "Premium wine and...
Read moreWe had an enjoyable stay in Club Med Bali for 5D4N.
Club Med Bali is about 20mins drive away from Denpasar Airport, not in a remote area. There's restaurants outside if you want to dine outside the resort.
We had to go through security checks outside the resort before we get to the resort. This is a plus factor for us as there's bollards to prevent vehicles dash throughs.
We reached early about lunch time and was received by Concierge Manager Adrian. He was very detailed in his explanation of what to expect from our stay in Club Med. Adrian was very welcoming and provided us the welcome drinks and face towels. He told us that we can wait for late lunch at 2:30pm if not we'll have to pay extra to dine in the main restaurant. We walked around while waiting for our rooms to get ready.
There's deeper pools for the adults and wading pools for the kids. There's also a play corner for daily activities and for kids to do free play with blocks and magnetic shapes on the white board.
There's the main bar to order unlimited drinks and there's even a small bites counter.
The beach is nearby and it's free of thrash. Resort guests can join snorkeling or choose to do water sports with external vendors. The walkway by the beach links the 5 star resorts side by side and it's a good stretch for morning walks.
We checked in to a well cleaned room and our requests for towel and toiletries top up are always on task.
Activities around the resorts are well planned to keep the guests occupied. We got to try activities like golf, snorkeling and tennis that we've not tried before. Every night they have performances such as circus and cultural dance. There are some nights where the kids from Mini Club and Petit Club will put up a stage performance for the guests.
Don't forget to buy your photos taken by their photographers at the photo booth too!
Overall we're very happy with the services and we'll be back again!
Complements to the staff mentioned below -
Petit Club Med: Dayu and Sherina Both staff took very good care of my 3 year old and I could feel their genuine care for my son. They took photos and kept us updated with what they did at the end of the day. They even took extra care of him when he played with the bigger kids.
Sports Manager: Debra (Abs & Thighs, Step Up & Pilates) Debra has a warm and cheerful personality. She smiles whenever she meets guests and she's very encouraging during the sports classes.
Restaurant (buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner) Chef Ravin & Sous Chef Trio (main restaurant) Chef Ravin is always on his rounds in the restaurant checking in on his diners to make sure that they are happy with their food. Loved the curries he prepared but just wished they were a little more spicy :D Chef Trio prepared a superbly delicious dish of mini Puri. It was very very well liked by my wife and I.
Archery, Table Tennis Jul, Emre managed to attend classes conducted but Jul and Emre and they're excellent conductors, always engaging and at the same time alert.
