When I arrived at the restaurant after a revitalising cycling session, I was taken aback by the shockingly rude behaviour of the waiter. From the moment I stepped in, he seemed to harbour an inexplicable disdain for me, as if my presence was an inconvenience to him. I could sense his judgemental eyes on me, and it became evident that he had pre-judged me solely based on my appearance as someone arriving on a bike.

The waiter's demeanour was nothing short of disrespectful. He spoke to me with a condescending tone, making snide remarks and treating me as if I were beneath him. It was as though he believed my choice of transportation somehow defined my worth as a customer. As a paying guest, I expected to be treated with a basic level of courtesy and respect, but instead, I felt belittled and demeaned.

Not only did he display a lack of professionalism, but he also subjected me to unnecessary embarrassment by continuously moving me from one table to another. It was as if he wanted to assert his authority and demonstrate his power over me. Each time he forced me to relocate, I could see the smug satisfaction in his eyes, adding insult to injury.

The most frustrating part was that I couldn't comprehend any valid reason for his behaviour. It's mind-boggling that a person in the hospitality industry, whose job is to cater to customers and ensure their satisfaction, would exhibit such unwarranted hostility.

As my patience wore thin, I decided I had endured enough of his rudeness and decided to leave the restaurant. But, to my disbelief, he didn't stop there. As I walked away, feeling humiliated and offended, he dismissively waved me off as if I were some insignificant nuisance, unworthy of his attention.

This entire encounter left me deeply disturbed and disappointed. There is absolutely no justification for treating anyone, regardless of their mode of transportation or appearance, with such contempt and disrespect. It was an unpleasant experience that marred what should have been a simple, enjoyable meal.

The incident with this waiter highlights the importance of empathy, kindness, and professionalism in the service industry. No customer should be subjected to such treatment, and it's a stark reminder that we should strive to be understanding and accepting of others, irrespective of their...

The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, we were seated in the back where there is a huge wall of wine and a bar. The service was also amazing, out of all the cocktails I was unable to choose one because of how many options there were, and therefore I told the server what type of cocktails I prefer, and it was made based on my preference! Our server was Viktoria, such a lovely woman that explained to us the whole menu and was overall pleasant, sharing with us her experience working and living in Italy. We ordered the famous polenta. We ordered Polenta fungi porcini, polenta taragna and polenta concia, we also have tried the famous Bergamo Casoncelli with cheese and with meat. The overall experience was amazing, and the food was something special, I have never tried anything like it! I really encourage everyone to try this restaurant! The restaurant also has a wide range of cheese and lard options which you can try out while dining and buy to get some home if you wish! We went there twice and the food didn’t...

I had dinner at Lalimentari in Bergamo and honestly, it blew me away. Everything I tried was spot-on and full of flavor.

I started with the local cold cuts and cheese platter — all from Bergamo and the surrounding region. The meats were rich and well-cured, the cheeses were perfectly aged and balanced, and the crunchy crackers added that perfect texture contrast. You could really taste the quality and the care that went into choosing every single product.

Then I had the ravioli-style pasta from Bergamo, covered in a pool of melted butter and sprinkled with Parmigiano. Simple? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not. It was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor — every bite felt like classic Italian comfort food done right.

The staff, very nice and super polite! Big up

The setting was relaxed and local, and everything tasted authentic without trying too hard. This is one of those places you hope to stumble upon when traveling — and I’m glad I did. Five stars,...

Amazing food, great athmosphere! This place is located on a nice old square with beautiful church and ancient feeling around. We’ve tried the cold cuts and cheeses - great choose of cheeses, they were all very delicious. Then we’ve tried the ravioli - they were excellent and the top was the polenta cocia - I didn’t know what to expect, but it was so tasty and beautiful as all of the meals they serve. Definitely a very good chose. Prices are higher than in the new part of the city, but I think it’s worth it. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu. In total we’ve paid 70 euro for 4 glasses of wine, cold cuts with cheeses, ravioli and polenta cocia.
