Altro segno di speranza e di fiducia... “Labor ipse voluptas” (Il lavoro stesso è piacere)... potrebbe essere questo il motto latino che celebra in modo compiuto il nuovo allestimento del Museo Bodoniano (Giovanni Battista Bodoni, Saluzzo 1740 - Parma 1813), che sarà visitabile dal prossimo aprile, pandemia permettendo. Il nero è il colore dominante di questi ambienti, proprio come l’inchiostro che rende imperitura l’arte grafica dell’illustre stampatore. Il rinnovato spazio espositivo si snoda in quattro sezioni. La prima illustra i legami del tipografo con Parma e l’Europa: un tavolo multimediale consente di scoprire gli intensi rapporti del Ducato con le corti europee dell’epoca, il contesto sociale e economico del periodo, il suo percorso culturale e l’incontro con il neoclassicismo. La seconda sezione (La fabbrica del libro) - la più corposa - è organizzata in quattro momenti che celebrano il certosino lavoro del tipografo nella creazione dei caratteri. Successivamente i visitatori accedono nella sezione dedicata alla stampa e alla legatura e possono ammirare la riproduzione di un torchio del 1940. L’ultima sezione è intitolata “Il mito di Bodoni”: in questi spazi sono raccolti numerosi volumi che testimoniano la pregevolezza della sua attività artistica.
