Cable Car - Taormina Mazzarò — Attraction in Taormina

We traveled for a daytrip to Taormina and came to the cable car to discover what view we could get and randomly found there is a dispenser to buy tickets, we bought 2 return tickets for 12€ Queued up the line and waited for 30minutes without seing a cabin. The site coordinator kept talking and talking in Italian and after asking for some guidance he told us the cable is interrupted for 15minutes the time them to reset it. 20minutes later still nothing we ask for refund, he answered "yes wait just a minute" and the disapeared forever, 20minutes later still no-one. The guy just fooled us and went hiding. At that point for us we had it from Taormina, lets leave for another city. I can not excuse such services where they disrespect you, Just a tourist money maker...

I had an amazing experience riding the cable car, and I can’t recommend it enough! The location is simply stunning, offering breathtaking views of the beautiful landscape and the sparkling sea from such heights. It was a joy to soak in the scenery as we ascended.

However, I did notice that the cable car seats were quite old, and the glass windows could have been cleaner, which took away a bit from the overall experience. Too expensive for what you get... 6 euro for a 2 minute ride up the hill is ridiculous - esp for a family if 6. Cable cars I've used elsewhere in the world are far more affordable (and often longer). They also pack up to 12 people in these cable cars, so it can feel quite uncomfortable like a crowded elevator if it is a busy period. Unfortunately the buses are so irregular and the taxi drivers are scammers, so the options are limited. We would have happily used the bus if it was more regular (2 euro), but depending on the time of the day, it often only comes once per hour, which is crazy for such a...
