If you're looking for authentic Italian, come and tease your pallete.
Remember, what you see with menu postings may not be the same the day of your visit. That's because the chef constantly change the menu based on what's available on the market. Seafood is always the main items on most dishes. That is unique. Farm to table and fresh!
Quite new, family owned with amazing local chef. They serve something that is not found in all the other Vernazza touristy restaurants namely black ink pasta with squid, corxhetti with cuttlefish, mussels pesto pasta, etc . I've never eaten corxhetti in my life until I tried them here. Wow! Delicious. Corxhetti, a Ligurian pasta, is mainly served on Sundays after church, at weddings with fish or seafood and not meat.
The mussels pasta was delish as well. The Torfei with pesto was out of this world as well (pasta dish).
Here are a few minor inconveniences and heads-up. You do have to walk up and down many steps to get here. It's at the back of the town center right after the train station. There are signs posted on the wall but it led to another restaurant. GPS doesn't work well when the whole town is made up for thousands of stairs!
Next, very limited menu, so, be prepared to be adventurous and try what they have on the menu.
The cover charge is one of the cheapest in the area. It is common for restaurants to charge cover charge especially when you get the best view overlooking the town, the ocean and the twinkling lights of monterrosso at a distance at night.
Overall, love the food as they are flavorful, fresh and unique ....not touristy! Amazing view and excellent service. Come and try it for yourself and be adventurous.

We booked a table after looking at their menu online - which is obviously very seafood based but we assumed there would be white fish meals. When arriving at the restaurant and also seeing the prices - we thought the menu was very limited and might not be the best for us.
We ordered drinks regardless and then asked if there was anything else on the menu that was white fish (not octopus/anchovies etc) and was met by a very rude staff member who barely explained anything. We decided that we’d go to another restaurant instead of ordering food we didn’t want and making a fuss - and asked if we can just have the drinks. The waitress was extremely rude and said “we are a restaurant not a bar” and made us feel very uncomfortable. When we asked for the bill - we were also told they only accepted cash despite having the capacity for taking card payments - with the reason being we only ordered drinks. We then had to walk all the way down the hill to get cash out - whilst they took card payments for other tables in from of us. They also then tried to overcharge us for an extra drink we did not have
The limited menu is fine to have, however customers are allowed to change their mind and should not be met with hostility. If we had been able to pay for our drinks, and quietly leave without any fuss - I wouldn’t have left this review, but the obvious tone and attitude we felt was...
Read moreOne of the best restaurants of the Cinque Terre! Do not miss it! The kitchen is incredible, the view breathtaking, the desserts absolutely wonderful.
This is a small (not many tables) family restaurant with mostly fish dishes, the menu is updated everyday according to the fishing of the day (everything is really fresh and created with imagination and a well felt passion for cooking). The prices are a bit higher than in other restaurants (20, 22, 30, 32 euro for a dish) but it is really worth it. Very refined and sophisticated kitchen, friendly service, this was a delight!
Make sure you take a dessert, it would be a pity not to try them out. They are really unforgettable.
All in all, go there, either in the evening, or after a azur hiking trail from Corniglia to Vernazza for lunch (the restaurant is located in the heights of Vernazza at the end/or beginning of the hiking trail). If you don't like to walk, no problem, just take this path from the railway station of Vernazza and you will arrive without any problem or difficulty in 5 minutes on foot.
P.S.: They always say that they only have fish dishes, but if you are vegetarian, no problem, you can always (at any time) take the trofie al pesto. They are without a doubt wonderful! And do not forget to take a dessert (either panna cotta, tiramisu or other delights, this was the best dessert I had in a...
