Read moreAvoid this overpriced property Thin curtains let in light during the morning, waking us up too early. The A/C controls are extremely unintuitive; as a non-Japanese speaker I couldn’t set it to simple cooling. The unit sits directly above the bed, creating an unpleasant draft, and it is very noisy. After 21:00 the service team leaves and the lobby area closes, so wine, bath salts, and any assistance (e.g., with the A/C) are unavailable. We received two single beds pushed together instead of a king or queen, which is inconvenient for couples. The spring mattresses were uncomfortable. The private outdoor bath cannot be heated; the water was too cold to use. The hotel is not prepared for rain—our outdoor seating was soaked and staff could not replace the wet cushions. Room amenities were not pre-set at check-in: the sauna was cold and the outdoor bath was empty. The service team genuinely tried to help, but no one spoke English, making...
Read moreWe stayed in the hotel for two nights and had already informed the receptionist when we checked in that two friends would come visit on the next day where they stayed in another hotel closer to FujiQ. When our friends came, one of their staff blocked our way and accusing us that we had more people staying than we booked in an unfriendly, rude and arrogant manner as if he was a cop and caught us did something bad. We explained to him in both English and Japanese translation that our friends were just here visiting. We showed him their other hotel booking confirmation but he said no guests were allowed to come visit in any hotel and this is their some Japan hotels authority’s rule! We asked him proof of such rules which of course there isn’t any. No proper apologies and poor attitude remains from that staff. Very bad experience with the staff here. Other than that, the hotel property and...
