I've lived in Japan for more than 15 years and this is by far one of the worst ramen shops I've ever been to. The staff was very unprofessional and rude. I was with an elderly couple who was 92 years old and told them to give us the table with chairs because it is difficult for them to sit on those tatami floors due to legs and back issues. There were 3 tables available with chairs and they still insisted that we go to those tables instead. After pushing them to give us those tables, the waitress made that annoying teeth sucking sound that Japanese do. I brushed it off because the elderly couple were hungry. When our food was ready, the waitress had a huge frown on her face and walked away without saying anything. She definitely made sure we were not welcome. Such a bad experience. The food was not even average. It was unusually too salty for Ramen and I've been to hundreds of Ramen shops in Japan. The couple only had a few bites and couldn't finish it. It's sad that there are shops like this. Very unwelcoming, bad atmosphere,...
Read moreThe service was terrible. It took forever to get a waiter to our table. The waiter was very unprofessional and took multiple tries to complete the order. We asked for recommendations since the menu was very unclear, and he automatically recommended the 2 most pricy dishes. The dishes came in separately, and it took forever for the last dish to come (after we begged for it) When the last dish came, it was way too spicy, making it inedible even though the menu didn't mark this dish as spicy, and the waiter didn't bother to inform us about it. Obviously we couldn't share it, and waiting forever for another dish wasn't an option, so we told the waiter the dish wasn't edible because it's too spicy, but they just kept insisting this what we ordered, so eventually we gave up and just shred the rest of the food. In conclusion- NEVER...
Read moreService was an absolute nightmare. I ordered an oolong highball but was served plain oolong tea with no trace of alcohol. As a lightweight, even a sip of alcohol makes me tipsy, but this drink was as sober as water.
When I raised the issue, the staff arrogantly dismissed my concern and suggested I pay double for more alcohol, despite there being none in the first place. They condescendingly claimed it was Jinro, but as a Korean VERY familiar with Jinro, I can say with certainty there wasn't a drop of it in my drink. I was still charged for the full amount.
The staff were rude, unprofessional, and utterly dishonest. Save your money and sanity—avoid this place...
