The street looks very vintage and beautiful. The view of Mount Fuji from there is stunning!

It’s a bit hard to take pictures, though, because the traffic controller will scold you which I totally understand. There are so many tourists trying to pose for Instagram photos, and he’s just trying to make sure no one gets hit by cars. It must be exhausting for him to stand there all day managing the crowd.

Many shops were closed when I visited, but it was still nice to...

Most of the local stores are closed, it’s just another street from the neighbourhood, but with the view of Fujiyama. If the weather is not good, I would skip this spot. Only one parking lot, but it’s quite full, hard to...

The reason why I will never go back to Fuji is because… I am still financially recovering 😉, but I completely lost my heart to this beautiful piece of the world! Here are a few things you HAVE to do while traveling to Fuji: 🚎 Take the bus from Mishima to Fujiyoshida - it’s the best way to get here and costs around $16. 🚴‍♀️Rent a mountain bike - it’s the best way to see as many places like Lake Kawaguchiko, Chureito Pagoda, and Shimoyoshida Honcho Street 📌 📸 Of course, you need to visit one of the famous Lawson markets at Kawaguchiko. The best time is during sunset because then it’s not crowded anymore. 🍜 You must have lunch at the very traditional restaurant Kosaku Kawaguchuko. They are known for their suiton soup with handmade noodles - they are so good! 🇯🇵 Heading to Japan soon? Save and share this to help plan your trip! Need more Japan ideas? We’ve got you covered! Steal my 2-week Japan itinerary for first timers 👇🏼 🇯🇵 4 nights in Tokyo There is so much to do in Tokyo, you could easily stay longer (we actually spent 6 nights but had lots of rainy days in March so we took a slower pace). THINGS TO DO: Tsukiji Outer Market, teamLab Planets, Sensō-ji, Sumida Park, Hie Shrine, Chidorigafuchi Park, Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Meiji Jingu, Yoyogi Park, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Shibuya sky, Shibuya crossing. If you have more time, add a day trip to see the Hitachi Seaside Park. [train to Fuji] 🇯🇵 2 nights in Fujikawaguchiko (Mt Fuji) With Fuji being visible less than 50% of the year (really depends on the time of year you visit), I highly recommend spending more than just a day trip here. THINGS TO DO: Lake Kawaguchiko, Chureito Pagoda, Shimoyoshida Honcho Street, Oishi Park, Kawaguchi Asama Shrine, Oshino Hakkai. [train back to Tokyo, then to Kyoto] 🇯🇵 4 nights in Kyoto + day trip to Nara Kyoto is like stepping back in time in Japan. It’s an absolute gem that you won’t want to miss! THINGS TO DO: Fushimi Inari Taisha, Kiyomizu-dera, Arashiyama, Yasaka Pagoda, Higashiyama Ward, Chion-in Temple, Nishiki Market. [train to Osaka] 🇯🇵 3 nights in Osaka Welcome to foodie heaven that is Osaka. Make sure to come hungry and stay a while for the food! THINGS TO DO: Osaka Castle, Umeda Sky Building, Dotonbori, Tsūtenkaku, Shitenno-ji. [train to Hiroshima] 🇯🇵 1 night in Hiroshima + day trip to Miyajima Hiroshima was a special place to visit due to the horrific history and subsequent tenacity of its people. I know Hiroshima is usually left off itineraries due to its distance, but if you can make it work, it’s truly a special stop. THINGS TO DO: Peace Memorial Park - Hiroshima, Peace Memorial Museum, Hiroshima Castle, Miyajima Are you planning your trip to Japan yet? #japantravel #japanphotography #japantour

Here are the top 4 places to get the perfect photos with the majestic Mt.Fuji : Best time to go : November to February: This period is generally considered the best time to visit Mount Fuji for clear views. We really got lucky as the probability to actually see the mountaintop lies between 20 and 30 %. 📍 Arakura Shrine On the way up to Chureito Pagoda, this shrine frames Mount Fuji beautifully. From here it’s about a 15 min walk up to Chureito Pagoda for an even more breathtaking view. 📍Honcho Street, Fuji View The main street in Fujiyoshida offers dramatic views of the mountain, especially beautiful in the early morning. Make sure to check out Fab Cafe Fuji, located next to the prime viewing spot on Honcho Street. 📍 Lawson Kawaguchiko Right next to Kawaguchiko train station, this famous Lawson convenience store provides a unique backdrop of the mountain, perfect for a casual photo op and picking up some snacks. They also have an ATM incase you need cash 💴 📍 The Park Cafe, Lake Yamanaka Head here for those famous Japanese soufflé pancakes, hot chocolate , a variety of delicious lattes and amazing views across lake Yamanaka to Mt Fuji. The pancakes were some of the tastiest we had during our visit , my personal favorite the tiramisu ☺️ . Getting here isn’t as easy , we had to hail a cab from the train station and request that the servers call us a cab back up the mountain that took cash only . 📍 Chureito Pagoda, Mt Fuji View Spot An iconic viewpoint, especially during spring with cherry blossoms or in winter with snow. It overlooks Fujiyoshida town and provides a beautiful picture with the Pagoda in the frame for the perfect shot of the mountain with a little bit of traditional Japanese architecture. #mtfuji #mtfujiphoto #howtogettomtfuji #japan #japantravelphoto #fuji #honchostreet #lakeyamanaka #kawaguchiko
