This was an amazing experience. Here is why:
The Italian food is delicious! Chef is a great guy! The atmosphere is intimate!
As the saying goes: “Italian food is all about the ingredients”. Never have I realized this more than at Transparent Full Moon. The chef maximizes flavour while minimizing the amount of ingredients. Handpicking every single ingrediënt, preferably locally. Combining to create famous outcomes like pesto, pasta and fish/beef with his own twist. The result is incredible. Rich of flavour. Perfection in every detail.
How I know all of this? Because the Chef is a Great Guy! He joined us and told us how cooking has always been his hobby. How he helped out a friend with an Italian restaurant. How he reversed engineered famous dishes. How he used this to create his own menu. How he tastes food in a restaurant, goes home, improves, let the restaurant taste and then give them te receipe. And how he loves to tell you all of this in person!
The restaurant can seat 10 people at max. The chef does everything himself, the cooking, waiting the tables and creating the atmosphere. This gives a feel like you are visiting a friend rather than being out for diner. Personally love this and as mentioned before, this is a great friend
I have been a fan of Italian food all my life, eating it at least once a week. I have been to Italian restaurants in Rome, Florence and many other places. Italian food is Great, but the chef makes the difference. Therefore this was the best experience I had.
The food, the chef and the atmosphere. Highly recommended. Hope to come here...
Read moreWell. I did not expect this at all when I thought I might try out this Italian place. The room fits about 12 people and is very intimate with delicate soothing excellent music in the background. The room was filled with beautiful aromas from the food cooking just a couple of meters from where we were sitting.
The chef was super kind and told us we could have a lunch menu which included a first course, soup course, main course and lastly a dessert. We didn’t know what any of the courses were but that was part of the experience.
Well. After walking around in the rain in winter, this was the place to be.
The food was absolutely delicious and so meticulously made. Every bite was amazing and you could feel the depth of flavor in every dish. We even got an apfel strudel for dessert, made by the chef himself.
If you’re not up for Japanese food, please visit this place. It is very affordable and the food+experience is just so top notch. Loved it loved it loved...
Read moreMy family and I had a wonderful and memorable dinner at Transparent Full Moon! We made a reservation for my mother's birthday after she declared a craving for delicious Italian food as this was the highest rated Italian restaurant in the area. We were so glad we did! The restaurant is a one man operation and Chef Mochizuki does it all. It's a cozy spot with 3 tables and decorated with charming antiques in candle light. The food was terrific and the mussels and the carbonara stole the show. We will be dreaming of it for many moons! The price was extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity. We had the opportunity to chat with the chef after he was done with the bulk of the cooking and he was incredibly charming with many stories of his adventures and his path to becoming an Italian chef. We definitely want to come back, thank you...
