There’s something wrong with the customer service at this store. I was looking for an ipad for a specific purpose, and I was talking to one of the staff who politely answered my questions in good English about a model I was looking at. The staff never made any recommendations or suggestions. I have told him what I wanted the iPad for. In the end I didn't buy the model most fit for my purposes, because I'm just not that familiar with iPad models and really would have used some more help. I found out after 2 days and I took the iPad back for an upgrade.
Contrary to what Apple does, all the staff did was to tell me that I cannot get a refund/exchange. There was never any mention that I cannot return the iPad anywhere I can find in store. The staff didn't mention it. (I had cashiers at other stores remind me before taking my money, that I cannot get a refund even for goods costing a few hundred yen, but not for this?!) I contacted Apple in Japan and they told me Yodobashi should be able to refund me if they wished, so I went back again with a page written in Japanese explaining my situation, and they still gave me the same answer, that I cannot get a refund. Is it because I'm a tourist? One of the staff explained they never take returns when the box is opened, but couldn't they have made this clear before buying? Particularly when their policies are so different from Apple. They've made it obvious they won't remedy this.
After this experience I don't think I'll buy anything again from Yodobashi. Some pretty unhelpful staff who aren't concerned about helping you get what you need. What they care about is to get your money...
Read moreIt's a complex Japanese style mall; they don't just sell cameras but they do have an amazingly vast range of them. However, their wider varieties of sound products, sound instruments, and their accessories are more astonishing! I stopped counting at 200 varieties for yet the earbuds alone (earphones with mic. not yet counted). The restaurants on sixth floors could provides a fun selection for you for a few days at least.
What I love most is their "Gunpla" selection!!! I have to buy a whole new suitcase just for them. It's almost as good as going to a Gunpla convention!
HOWEVER, not just about everything I love, they don't have a single PS4 VR in stock, nor a PS4 camera. They do have a working demo one on display, but don't bother to ask about them in Japan. You could never buy the demo/display one(unless ...). I think it is Japanese proud policy of "never to sell the demo products" to an any all-willing and badly-wanting customer who is willing want to forego the product's warranty as the condition.
Just going a bit over the top here, "How can you call yourself a great camera store but you don't have neither a PS4 camera nor a XBox One camera for sell???". Answer that.
555 just kidding, luv De mall ya! But don't let it happen so often na. I, still, will come back here, every time I visit Kyoto krub! For the Gunpla of course! And for the Bose wireless speaker, next time. I already spent too much on Gunpla this trip. I think I almost complete all the unicorn Gunpla series, just 5 more! Thank...

I totally agree with what Tim said, the guy with glasses at around 9pm on May 15, 2024 was definitely a lier.
First, when I was checking, a tall guy, curly-haired actually checked my BoA credit card signature and my bill signature carefully. He didn't ask any other white people to do this, but until this step I just felt a little offended.
Then came the disaster, which was the cashier in the picture posted by Tim. I wanted to use some specific Gacha machines, so I asked him about it, and he answered me very impatiently that they all were available, when in fact there was only one. I used the Gacha machine once, and then it stopped working, it didn't give out any Gacha and took my coins. I asked the cashier for help, but he said they didn't have the key and asked me to come back in a week. But I saw him use the key to open the Gacha machine for a Japanese kid 5 mins ago. I couldn't believe it. I asked for help from a older staff and he opened the machine for me quickly, ofc he didn't apologize for anything. At this time, I glanced at the racist cashier who was still chatting with another female...
