Osaka Castle Main Tower (Osaka Castle Museum) — Attraction in Osaka

This was a fabulous attraction. So much history which was really well presented with different presentations on each level. You can either walk up the 8 levels at your own pace or wait for the lift to level 5 and then walk up the remaining flights to the lookout. We walked up and it was so much more special to see all the levels and stories. There is also a photo op to dress up as a warrior and wear a helmet which was very reasonably priced I think I paid 500 yen for the dress up and you get a small free wallet photo but I paid 1500 yen for a bigger photo in a card and a digital QR code. This was great. We got there 10min before opening and didn’t wait long in line to enter. This was in the winter. The top lookout was extremely windy the day we went so we didn’t stay for long on top. The 3rd and 4th floors house a well-curated museum, showcasing the history of Osaka Castle and the legacy of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. It’s very informative and adds depth to the experience.

Don’t miss the adjacent gardens — they perfectly capture the refined beauty of traditional Japanese landscaping.
