Do NOT buy from Mont-Bell. I had a terrible experience, I just bought a pair of WATERPROOF hiking shoes for JUST 2 weeks and the shoes were tear and also it isn’t waterproofing at all. I emailed the service department, they said it was tear because of the usage. I guess it meant if I had not used them, they would be fine. Such an irony. Definitely not buying again and would like to consult if there’s any consumer protection...
Read moreReally bad tax refund experience. They make you download an app called Pie VAT which keeps rejecting your passport scans, and after a lengthy registration process, they still need to manually check everything again. Worst still is the tax refund is not immediate ( need to charge it back via to an app in 5-10 business days) and 30% of the tax refund amount is deducted as charges. Queuing for the tax refund was longer than the purchasing time.
At ASICS they just checked my passport at the time of purchase and just charged me price without tax, no hassle on tax refunded or any...

Contrary to what others have experienced, the staff were extremely friendly, even though I don’t speak Japanese. The store is about a 15 minute walk from the nearest station, but it’s definitely worth the trip if you’re...
