So basically I don't think this hotel is great for the price we paid I expected a better hotel but it has an extremly hard bed and the rooms are smaller than what they seem plus the rooms aren't as clean as they could be. The only pro is the good location. I feel that the sq ft estimates given for the rooms is off.
Pros: good location, near lots of stores and restaurants right next to Ginza station and close to tokyo station, and there is a 7/11 right on the first floor( you don't even have to go outside to access it) there is also 2 other 7/11 right down the street.
Cons: for the price the hotel is not great. It wasn't cheap but about average price for hotels in the area but I felt the quality was not great. I thought it was kinda dirty for being a newer hotel. The walls had scuffs and some dirty marks and the blinds covering the windows seemed very worn down and the room was very narrow. Plus I don't like the function of the AC the temp was either too cold but if I adjusted it to be higher then the room would become too humid. There was rarely a good temp so my technique was to just manually shut off the AC when the temp became good then about an hour later turn the AC on again. Probably the biggest con is the bed!! SUPER HARD BED! it was really uncomfortable and when I asked the front desk if they could switch the room or do anything they said nothing could be done. I asked if perhaps they had extra comforters they could offer us so we could use those to cushion the bed they misunderstood and gave us these super ratty looking old thin fleece blankets (something similar to what you'd get on an airplane) our solution was to go to a nearby Muji and we bought a foam mattress topper to go on top of our bed. It wasn't the most comfortable but it worked. Honestly the biggest thing we spend on while traveling is hotel because when we are traveling it's important for us to come back to a comfortable room to get a good night's sleep and this room wasn't it. Not to mention the lack of amenities. While they do have microwaves and laundry machines they don't have any tables or trash cans for food so you have to eat in your room and throw out food trash in your room. Not to mention there are no irons or ironing boards which ment a lot of clothes worn were wrinkly. I feel this hotel would feel more worth it if the price was cheaper but it wasn't so that's why I...
Read moreThis is a rather new hotel near the Ginza subway and Tokyo Station and very reasonably priced given the location. The positives of this hotel is that the location is good, there's a 7-11 downstairs and the service staff is generally friendly and able to speak English. The rooms are very clean and size wise, is decent for Tokyo. We booked a double bed room and while the room is not cramped, one side of the bed is placed next to the wall, which makes it difficult for one sleeper to get out of bed. But the bed is comfortable and the pillows are good.
The downside of the hotel is that the free breakfast is outsourced to a cafe on the second floor. The choice is very limited and definitely not the type of Japanese breakfast you would expect. If you're staying for 1-2 nights, it's not an issue but if you are staying longer, you will get bored of it in a couple of days. The breakfast is not very tasty as well. And the wait is quite long as there are hotel guests as well as non hotel guests. Secondly, the self serviced laundry is very popular and unfortunately they only have three machines that does wash and dry. I wished they have more machines and machines that does wash and dry separately. We tried to use the machines but it's always occupied as it takes at least two hours for each wash & dry. Some inconsiderate guests will just leave their complete laundry in the machines for hours. I hope they add in more machines as it is a really popular service for guests.
Finally, they only have two lifts that are usable in the morning and it can get really packed in the mornings. We have to wait 5-10 mins in some mornings as there are too much traffic and the lifts are quite small as well.
Otherwise, the hotel is pretty good for a couple nights stay but not...
Read moreThe hotel is perfectly located for sightseeing in Tokyo (or business for that matter) as it is right next to Kyobashi Station on the Ginza Metro line (use exit 6) and is only a 5 minute walk from Tokyo Station. The hotel is arranged over multiple floors above the reception/lobby which is on floor 3 of the building. We were on floor 10 but there were more above. There is a 24hr 7-11 shop on the ground floor and a mall with several eateries (Japanese and international) on the other side of the road and a few other restaurants in the street nearby (including, weirdly, the only Croatian restaurant in.Japan). ||Our room was a decent enough size for central Tokyo, was spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities you’d expect. The beds were firm but very comfy, as were the pillows. My only slight niggle about the whole stay was that the bed was only accessible from one side - luckily MrsEx-Punk doesn’t stir once asleep so wasn’t faced with climbing over me to get to the loo!||Our room (1012) faced onto an office block across a small gap between buildings (I think we may have been above the service entrance for the 7/11), but as the windows of the room had net privacy curtains as well very effective black out curtains, it wasn’t a problem for us. It also meant that the room was dead quiet at night. ||In the reception/lobby area there was a supply of drip coffee bags, teas, creamer etc that you could take for your room, along with bath salts and other items not already in the room. ||Checkin was quick and easy and checkout was at a decent 11am and fully automated....
