Dorayaki is a traditional Japanese confectionery. It is consist of two mini pancakes with sweet red bean paste inside the centre. Dorayaki is very popular in Japan which you can purchase it from any convenience stores and also the favourite food of the anime character Doraemon. Usagiya is quite a popular shop as there is long queue for me to purchase dorayaki from the shop and mostly in the shop are Japanese. Although the dorayaki is one of the best that I tasted so far but its still not great and lacking some of the flavour that I am expecting.
The dorayaki from this shop are fresh and without any preservative. The dorayaki also larger than normal dorayaki that you get elsewhere and you can eat whole red bean. I wanted to get the お団子 but it wasn’t available.
Overall, while it was quite delicious, it wasn’t strikingly overwhelming. Probably there are too many other similar snacks in Japan and they all taste quite similar, and all...
