The conviction in her eyes was unmistakable. We locked eyes for a brief moment and in that instant I knew I had to follow her advice. So I resisted the urge to get off at Yokohama Station.
Good thing I did because most of the action is in the Sakuragicho area. I know hardly anyone will read this review but trust me, almost everything you would want to do in Yokohama except for the downtown core is here. Nearby attractions include Yokohama Chinatown, Kanteibyo Temple, Yokohama Landmark Tower, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Cup Noodles Museum, Yamashita Park, Yokohama Cosmo World, and the Yokohama Air Cabin.
That said, Yokohama Station is still worth a visit. If you are looking for some of the best ramen and monjayaki, check out my reviews of Yoshimuraya and Moheji Yokohama.
