Sakuragichō Station — Attraction in Yokohama

When I asked a lady at the information desk in Osaka Station where to catch a train to Yokohama, she gave me the platform number and then firmlyWhen I asked a lady at the information desk in Osaka Station where to catch a train to Yokohama, she gave me the platform number and then firmly advised me to get off at Sakuragicho Station instead of Yokohama Station. The conviction in her eyes was unmistakable. We locked eyes for a brief moment and in that instant I knew I had to follow her advice. So I resisted the urge to get off at Yokohama Station.

Good thing I did because most of the action is in the Sakuragicho area. I know hardly anyone will read this review but trust me, almost everything you would want to do in Yokohama except for the downtown core is here. Nearby attractions include Yokohama Chinatown, Kanteibyo Temple, Yokohama Landmark Tower, Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, Cup Noodles Museum, Yamashita Park, Yokohama Cosmo World, and the Yokohama Air Cabin.

Oh and one more thing, Sakuragicho Station was the only place I saw a vending machine selling canned red bean and clam soup. Definitely a unique find. advised me to get off at Sakuragicho Station instead of Yokohama Station. The conviction in her eyes was unmistakable.
