Street Fries Kitchen — Restaurant in Riga

This was such a great place to eat. They spoke English, which was wonderful, but helped us with our Latvian. They were very fun and kind. All of the food was so fresh! The bread was freshly made, the fries were made there, (the garlic aioli was delicious), and the whipped cream that came on my waffle was so thick and delicious. (It also came with ice cream). The people were friendly and all of the food was sooo delicious. We don’t get a lot of whole, fresh food where I live, so this was refreshing and you could taste the difference. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and tased like biting into a delicious orange. The coffee came with adorable containers of warm frothed milk and a little sugar container. The hot food was still hot, and my ice cream stayed cold for about 30 minutes. They played popular music I knew, like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, etc. it seemed to be a very Americanized place with beautiful touch of Latvia. Our group ate chicken and waffles, a farmer’s breakfast, mango-chili sauce with fries, more waffles with berries and cream, and more fries with Garlic aioli. This was by far, the most fun and easygoing place we have enjoyed on our holiday so far. We visited the café, and upon arrival, we were informed that we would need to wait 35 minutes for our food. However, it took over an hour and 10 minutes for our dishes to arrive. Many of the tables around us were also waiting, and it seemed like people were shrugging their shoulders as if this was normal. The café has around 10 tables inside, so it wasn't overcrowded.

When it comes to prices and the quality of the food, this café is quite expensive, especially when you order potato pancakes for €14 and receive frozen ones – absolutely terrible. The chef has no idea how to make guacamole. My husband ordered a burger that was not worth its price – it lacked any flavor and had no onions, special sauce, or anything that would leave a memorable impression. It was just meat, cheese, and tomato – tragic. Honestly, McDonald's offers a better burger.

In conclusion, we would not recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps it was just an unfortunate Monday, or maybe this is the usual standard here, but with a rating of 4.6, this place certainly doesn’t deserve even a fraction of it. Best of luck to you, but we suggest updating...

Street Fries Kitchen definitely takes the cake for top-notch comfort food. I haven’t experienced such bold flavours and inventive twists in a restaurant for a long time! The sweet potato fries absolutely lived up to the fame, they were perfectly crisp and velvety soft on the inside, seasoned just right to let their natural sweetness shine through. The waffles with chicken wings were an absolute hit with me personally! Astonishingly baked waffles, like biting into a cloud and crunchy, sweet, succulent chicken wings, definitely the juicest wings in Rīga! A luscious drizzle of sweetness in every bite, and of course we can’t leave out the truffle fries with bacon! A luxurious combination of skillet-fried truffles and smoky bacon atop beautiful, thick fries.
